I am shocked I even have to write this review. Tom, the owner? Or manager? He decided on my second night to enter the dormitory where I was sleeping (there were no other guests this night so I was alone) and tell me in these exact words ‘I am attracted to you and drunk, can I sleep with you?’ I was so shocked I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I told him firmly no, and to leave the room immediately because I felt uncomfortable. The whole night I couldn’t sleep and kept waking up with every little sound thinking he would come to the room again. I was scared and felt extremely unsafe. I would have packed and left that night, but it was late and I had nowhere else to go. The next morning, when he saw me, he had the NERVE to casually ask me if I still wanted to go on the motorbike tour today. I was in disbelief as clearly he thought he did nothing wrong and was so casual about it. This is extremely concerning. He only apologised after I started yelling at him and telling him how inappropriate his actions are. Safe to say, no , I did not go on the motorbike tour, i had my things already packed ready to get on the first bus out of there. I am a guest, I am expected to be treated with professionalism and respect. It absolutely shocks me to the core that he thought this would be acceptable. To go into a guests room uninvited, and ask to sleep with me????!! As a solo female traveler of 6 years, never has this happened to me. I only hope this review will caution other females staying there. Beware!!!! Also, being ‘drunk’ is not an excuse. You are the manager/owner of a business. Do better.
EDIT: Responding to the owners reply. Which is a complete LIE. STOP LYING. The night he came in the room and asked to sleep with me, there was NO OTHER GUESTS IN THE ROOM! Yes your staff is also working there, so THEY KNOW too that there was no other guests in the room the night you came. The first night I stayed, there was 2 other guests in the room, a lady and another man. The next day they left. I was alone in the room. He came into the room that night I was alone to switch off the light, then later came back in the dormitory. He then laid in one of the other beds…which I thought was extremely strange when he had his own room. I went to brush my teeth and when I came back he was still there. Then he asked to sleep with me. I have NO reason to lie. At no point I asked to cancel anything, until HE CAME INTO MY ROOM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND ASKED TO SLEEP WITH ME. Why would I stay another night after that?! So yes, I then cancelled the rest of my stay. I never wanted to cancel my booking because of bad weather? The weather was perfect when I arrived?? The dorm room was $8 a night, which was the price listed? So why is this even relevant. It’s not like you did me a favour? That was the price listed online. Detailing all the things that made you such a ‘great host’ such as being checked in early or explaining things to do in the area is bare minimum. And to even mention turning on the AC?? Do you want a trophy? These things do not excuse your behaviour that night. I never demanded for a single thing, I was polite and minded my own business. Never caused any hassle or complained about anything. I was enjoying my stay until that night. Please stop trying to imply I was some sort of bad guest. I am not human??? You are the one who decided that it was ok to go into a room where a girl was sleeping alone and ask something so inappropriate? THEN completely lie about it and blame me??? I am the one who is not human??? Really? I am SICK and TIRED of disgusting men acting like the victim when YOU KNOW exactly what you did wrong. You are a predator. This is not some small issue of a dirty room or no hot water. This is a SERIOUS issue. I will stand my ground, and make sure no other women has to go through this again. Appalling behaviour and you should be ashamed of yourself. I usually don’t have the energy or time for silly little complaints, but this is not silly nor...
Read moreTo be honest we found the area totally by luck as we were searching for not touristic rural places in Vietnam and we couldn't be more happy with our decision!
The village is amazing, absolutely in the middle of nowhere and surrended by bamboo forests.
The view from our private room was astonishing, just above the greenery of the rice paddies. The room was super clean, the bed is really big, the mattress a little bit harder than what I have used to, but definitely ok. The breakfast is traditional Vietnamese with choices of soup, rice or noodles and a coffee. Staff is super friendly and the owners gave us super options for things to do in the area. We were super lucky as the days we were staying there was a football match between two neighbouring villages in the stadium which was in the middle of nowhere inside the forest.
DON'T HESITATE TO CONTACT ME CAUSE I FOUND A REALLY CHEAP OPTION FOR TRANSPORTATION TO THE VILLAGE AND FROM THE VILLAGE SAVING MORE...
Read moreWe arrived at dark having just ridden motorbikes through a thunderstorm and stumbled upon this place. I'm so glad we did! The staff was very kind and accommodating, especially the owner Tôm. My friend and I really enjoyed talking with him, he is a genuinely good guy and it was a pleasure hanging out with him. We had a great dinner here (I recommend the duck,) some nice cold beers and the rooms were very nice and had everything we needed, including cold AC. I absolutely loved the view from my room, there were terraced rice fields with beautiful mountains in the background. ||The next day we sadly had to move on, but my friend's motorbike wouldn't start. Tôm was extremely helpful and got us in touch with a local mechanic who was able to fix the problem. Thank you to Tôm and the rest of the staff. I would love to visit...
