We have been here for over 12 years and come back every time we are in Vung Tau.
Start with the most authentic Florentine pate crostini this side of Tuscany. The squid ink pasta is the most authentic and best we have had in Asia (almost as good as the ones we had in Venice a few years back). Pizzas are consistently excellent. The fresh fish of the day taste fresh and grilled to perfection. Lasagna is delicious if the kids want this.
People complain about the slow service and I have some observations: 1) Each dish from scratch and to order. 2) Vung Tau is pretty calm during the weekdays and non-holidays, while super busy during the weekends and holidays when the hoards of Saigonaise descend on the town. It is impossible to serve this weekend crowd at the Chinese and Vietnamese food speed without having 80% capacity un-utilized during the weekdays. 3) you are on holidays at a beach town, so just relax, have a draft beer and chill waiting for the food. When I got to my place he must've known I was onto him, and possibly my place's security too, because he wanted me the heck out of there and couldn't care less I gave him 100K and not...
