Overall, the restaurant is primarily outdoors. It's quite spacious with a lot of seating, but I'd strongly recommend you call ahead to make a reservation.
Ganh Hao was highly recommended by a few friends, but we couldn't secure a reservation, so went out to Ganh Hao 2 instead. The ambience was great as we were right on the water. It's quite loud but the service was solid. Our servers were constantly checking in on us, refilling our ice and drinks. The food is more on the pricier side, but if you're in Vung Tau, I'd strongly recommend going at least once and trying their oysters and seafood.
Overall, definitely will be coming back next time to try more of their seafood!
We ordered: Aluminum Stir-Fied Tofu Combination - 5/5 best dish of the evening, so much flavor, the sauce went perfectly over rice and had a good spread of seafood and veggies Vegetarian Egg Rolls - 3/5, it was your average vegetarian spring roll, crispy with the right amount of fillings Claypot Clams - 3/5, some clams were overcooked and this could have used a bit more flavor as it was slightly on the bland side, but great to try if you like clams, just make sure you dip in some fish sauce Deep fried baby squid - 5/5, the squids were nice and crispy while tender given their size. perfect little bites that compliment rice really well Fish Hot Pot - 3/5 your average hot pot, the soup was flavored and seasoned nicely and we had the right balance of veggies and vermicelli Shaking Beef with French Fries - 4/5 some of the pieces of beef were overcooked while others were perfectly tender, we ordered 2 plates, 1 was incredibly oily while the other was cooked nicely with hints of smokiness from the wok Vietnamese Fish Papaya Salad - 3/5 there was a nice amount of saltiness and tang from the fish, but you really need to wrap this with the herbs and rice paper and dip in fish sauce to get the full depth of flavor Stir-fried Water Spinach with Garlic - 4/5 cooked nicely with the right...

Five stars simply aren't enough to capture the magic of Ganh Hao 2 in Vũng Tàu. This all-you-can-eat buffet isn't just about quantity; it's about an unparalleled dining experience. Let me start by praising the exceptional service. Despite the constant flow of hungry patrons, the staff remained attentive, friendly, and incredibly efficient. No request was too small, and their smiles were as endless as the food itself!
Now, onto the real star of the show: the food! Oh, the food! The variety was astounding, but the quality truly stole the show. The Australian leg of lamb was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, and the flap meat satisfied my carnivorous cravings like no other. But the true highlight? The endless flow of fresh snow crab legs! No lines, no waiting, just pure crustacean bliss.
I could sing praises for every dish - the succulent prawns, the vibrant salads, the decadent desserts - but I'll leave some surprises for you to discover. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
Ganh Hao 2 is more than just a buffet; it's an experience. It's a celebration of flavor, a testament to attentive service, and a reminder that all-you-can-eat doesn't have to mean sacrificing quality. It's a must-visit for any foodie in Vũng Tàu, and I guarantee you'll leave raving about it just like I am.
P.S. The endless snow crab legs?...
Read moreGành Hào 2 delivers an unforgettable seafood experience with some of the best dishes we’ve had in Vietnam! The soft shell crab in salted egg sauce was absolutely sensational — rich, creamy, and perfectly crispy. The fried spring rolls with crab meat were equally impressive, packed with flavor and texture. We also loved the grilled squid, which was tender and beautifully charred, and the curry crab with roe was truly a standout — indulgent, flavorful, and generous with the roe. Even the crab soup left a lasting impression — comforting, savory, and just the right balance of richness.
The only downsides were the furniture, which was oddly uncomfortable — the solid table design leaves no room for your knees, and the chairs aren’t ideal for a long, relaxed meal. Also, a clam dish recommended by our server (described as the freshest of the day) sadly missed the mark — it tasted undercooked and was quite unpleasant.
That said, the overall experience was overwhelmingly positive. The quality of the seafood and the bold, well-balanced flavors more than made up for the small missteps. We’ll definitely be coming back — Gành Hào 2 is a gem for anyone who loves...
