One of my favourite places to enjoy a meal with family and friends. Great ambience. Service always friendly and pleasing. Ive enjoyed a number of meals from their menu and todays was flavoursome, well presented. However, the seafood linguine is not up to the usual standard which we have come to expect. They had run out of the halloumi as a starter, which was disappointing. A number of us ordered the Seafood Linguine, all of us were disappointed, not with the flavour but rather the content. Pasta portions were sadly on the small side, the sauce consisted of more prawn heads than anything else...i think our prawns went to other diners who ordered them as a main course and the calamari was over cooked. Perhaps the Chef was off today? Consistency in Zimbabwean restaurants is something that one does not get to experience too often. Desserts were excellent, the malva pudding melted in your mouth with hot vanilla flavoured custard, delicious. I am looking forward to having my next meal at Fishmongers again, but im sticking to the prawn and calamari combo or the delicious perfectly...

Well the food was pretty good but the owner is a complete prat I ate there recently with a friend and her young daughter. Sitting on the veranda I heard an altercation - sounded like a waiter was being assaulted by a drinks tray - then the effing and blinding began. Unbelievable I asked a waiter to intervene - which he did - only for me to become the subject of the idiot who was causing the kerfuffle It turned out to be the owner who I told "I am not impressed with this behaviour - esp. in front of a 12 year old." It turned out he was the OWNER - who challenged me to "mind my own business and what was I going to do about it?" I said "nothing but please stop behaving like and idiot" "You are the idiot and I wont be told what to do by you" This was way beyond Basil Faulty I strongly recommend that you don't go to this restaurant - the experience is risky, specially if you are taking ladies and children Might be OK if you are a rugby club supporter or a prat who swears a lot. There are far better places to go to where the food is equally good or better. C. John...

We had a reservation for 17:30, on the 25th of December, 2024. We arrived at 17:22pm and we're promptly seated.

It took the waiter 15mins to take our drink order. Our drinks arrived 40mins later. We constantly went looking for him to remind him about our drinks and to tell him that we were ready to order.

We finally placed our order after being at the place for 2 hours. It took them another hour to bring out the starters.

At this point, we had spent 3 hours at the resturant. We then enquired on our mains, which we were told would be out shortly (we had placed them together with our starters). We waited another hour, until I decided to go look for the manager. I didn't receive an apology or anything. I had been at the resturant for 4 hours. I requested our bill for what we had managed to eat ( starters and drinks), paid the 50usd and left.

The single worst experience of 2024. If you are unable to manage a large crowd, do not take walk ins or continue to...

Ok ok, one of my safe eating zones. This place has been consistent so far and you can afford to take your guests there without worrying too much about wether they will like the food. The menu is diverse and caters for different tastes. My fav starter is btwn their soup n halloumi cheese. Their sea food is perfect for the main and their cheese cake for dessert. The chocolate brownie was too sweet for my taste but the cheese cake is great if you do not have a sweet sweet tooth. So the next time you are hosting some hungry people and you have a good budget, try this place out. I have posted a pic of the cheesecake that i had nibbled on a bit…kkk. I ate it all afterwards. If I did not have a conscience i would have ordered another one for takeout.

This restaurant has a very minimalist approach to the decor. Cutlery on a white table cloth with the condiments in the centre. There is no background music which is great for conversation! We had a family dinner so a sample a little bit of everything. Beef, chicken, fish, prawns were all for the taking! The wait was about 30 minutes but well worth the wait! The meal was exquisite!!! Sadly, the giant prawns were semi raw so we couldn't finish but the medium prawns were done to perfection!!!!! Staff is polite and helpful and the owner regularly checked on how we were doing! Definitely a great night out!

Wow! Wow! Wow! The staff were so attentive I did not want for anything. With an atmosphere that complimented the food I could have stayed all day. I had calamari whilst my friend had prawns. Both were cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of spice. I was a little jealous of the platters on the table next door so I am thinking of having a party. Thank-you Fishmonger. We will be back soon.
