Unfortunately, this was my worst experience in Japan so far. I visited this place for the Kenji Yanobe exhibition. After exploring the Hyper Museum, I wanted to visit Cat Island. Since it's separated from the mainland, I noticed people renting boats to get there, so I did the same. However, I wasn’t informed that a separate ticket was required until I had already rowed for 10 minutes toward the island. Read moreIt’s hydrangea season and we wanted to see the ajisai road x umbrella sky. Unfortunately, you have to pay the entrance fee to be able to see it. Tickets are cheaper when purchased beforehand so buy them online or at convenience stores. We didn’t go in so we just walked around and drank coffee. There is a Starbucks as well as other cafes. There were lots of restaurants and Blue Seal ice cream is also available in some. There is a BBQ and camping site. There is also an adventure athletic park. Hanno museum is there as well. You can also ride a canoe and pedal boat. The 2nd floor of the building where hydrangea stairs is is where they sell Nordic/Scandinavin brands like Marimekko, Iittala, Moz, Arabia, etc. The were spots for dogs, a lot of people brought their pets with them. Parking is free for the...
