My experience at Ohana Beach Bar Ksamil was disappointing. Upon entering, the staff member did not greet us or inform us about available sunbeds. Instead, he seemed solely focused on collecting money from visitors. When he came to collect payment for the sunbeds and umbrella, I asked for a menu but never received one. After collecting the payment, he did not return to our table. We had to borrow a menu from our neighbors. When it came to ordering, he did not come to us, and I had to go to the bar myself. The service at the bar was also lacking in friendliness. While the prices and music were acceptable, the overall service was subpar. The staff was truly unfriendly. Additionally, it was not just us - none of the other guests lying on the sunbeds were being served. Hardly anyone had drinks or food, and the waiters were nowhere to be seen all day.
Answer to the owner:
Dear Owner,
Thank you for your response. I understand that delays can occur during busy times, but I would like to point out that I was not just waiting for an order; rather, I was not approached by any staff member to take an order throughout the entire day from 1-5 pm. This amounts to a delay of 4 hours, which, in my opinion, goes beyond a normal wait time.
When I went to the bar to place an order myself, it was promptly taken. The same efficiency was seen in receiving the bill. However, when I requested another water from the waiter, who only came to us twice for payment, my request was not fulfilled. There was a lack of communication, no "okay," no "yes, of course," or "just a moment." The waiter only engaged with us when it came to payment, which I found to be unfriendly.
Additionally, being lectured on how to place an order by a bar staff member was also perceived as unfriendly. While I understand the challenges with staffing, an apology would have been appreciated. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain the quality of service.
I hope that my feedback contributes constructively to improving...
Read moreIf you're looking for the perfect beachside escape, this beach bar is an absolute gem. Nestled right on the sand with stunning ocean views, it offers the ideal setting for both a relaxing afternoon and an energetic night out. The vibe is laid-back but vibrant, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you've discovered a hidden paradise.
The drink menu is impressive, featuring an array of refreshing cocktails, craft beers, and tropical concoctions that are perfect for sipping while watching the waves roll in. The bartenders are skilled and friendly, always ready to recommend something based on your preferences. The highlight for me was their signature cocktail, a refreshing blend of fresh fruits and top-notch spirits that perfectly complemented the seaside breeze.
What really sets this beach bar apart, though, is the food. It goes beyond typical bar snacks to offer fresh seafood, savory bites, and a variety of shareable plates. The grilled fish tacos were a standout—light, flavorful, and perfectly paired with a tangy, spicy salsa. And don’t miss the fried calamari, which was crispy and perfectly seasoned.
The service is top-notch, with staff who are attentive without being intrusive, making sure you're well taken care of while letting you enjoy the laid-back beach atmosphere. The music is always on point, creating the perfect soundtrack for your beachside experience, and there's often live entertainment, adding to the fun.
Whether you're watching the sunset with a cocktail in hand or dancing to the beat of the live band, this beach bar is the perfect place to unwind, connect with friends, and soak up the beautiful surroundings....
Read moreThis is the best beach on this side of the bay. They charge only 1000 lek for sunbeds from the second row to the ones at the back, and it goes up to 3k for the platform sunbeds. They are very transparent about the prices and wouldn't turn you down by saying they are all reserved, so you can choose any available one. The umbrellas are sturdy and have a sidetable attached to the pole. They also have reliable Wi-Fi available all day.The showers and toilets are working all day, there's no shortage of water here. The food and drinks, while not extraordinary, are still tasty enough. After all, it’s a beach restaurant, so one shouldn’t expect Michelin-star quality. They also serve a decent Turkish coffee, even though it's not listed on the menu. I have to give credit to two amazing waiters who take good care of customers and provide high-quality and fast service. The only downside of the beach is the repetitive playlist, which features the same 10-15 songs in both the local language and English. While the volume wasn't disturbing, they occasionally increased it, which could be uncomfortable. Despite this, we found this place to be much better than others in the area, and we ended up...
