Ffryes Beach was without question one of if not the best beach in Antigua and Barbuda. This top 10 beach is located of the Island next door so to speak to Coco Beach and Darkwood Beach on either sides, Dennis, Tamarind Hills and Cocobay Hotel are also in the imediate vicinity as well the Ffryes RO plant and others.

The extremely picturesque beach is a favorite picnic spot and Beach Wedding Venue among many other things such as camping and swimming. On clear days the Islands of Montserrat, Redonda, Nevis and St. Kitts can be seen in the south close to the horizon. The well kept beach with public facilities is quite popular with Cruise Passengers and land Based Visitors not forgetting other beach goers as well. I really enjoy the many large trees lining the shoreline and also the ample park like area /camping ground between the roadsideand the beach. The depth of the water may fall off steeply at some parts so please exercise caution and be watchful of younger more exuberant members of the party.

Ffryes Beach is definitely a worthwhile beach to visit and have a...

We took a taxi (actually a shared bus, but locals call it “taxi”) from the port to Ffryies, they charged 10 USD per person. Trip took 30mins approx (one-way). You’ll get light sand, clear water and beautiful different sea colours, however, regarding snorkelling, it was a rip-off since the coral is mostly dead (bleached). In a 5-scale, snorkelling would be 2 in the northern rocky area. Locals rent jet ski to tourists and people get usually crazy on these things, so swimming or snorkelling in a mid distance from the shore is dangerous as you can be hit. Actually, some girl crashed into other’s jet ski! That got really messy for them as they refused to pay for damages and clearly locals rent...

Beautiful beach on the Caribbean WEST coast of Antigua about 3 Km SOUTH of Jolly Harbor and 15 Km from Saint John the capital, a beach of white and thin sand with some trunks of Tamarindo torn from the "Tamarind Hill" by the Uruguayan Louis cat 4 in 1995 take you and covered up on the shoreline and still there after 26 years that make it even more suggestive. the bottom on the right is a restaurant with a beautiful terrace. To get there by bus n ° 22 from Saint John. Antigua absolutely to be seen. Here too the Swell speech is valid "long wave phenomenon that rises a lot on the shoreline that generally in the winter period removes some transparency from the water and also makes bathing difficult, Co me know if Swell is there? there is a site called Win Guru that gives you information on wave height...

Such a quiet and relaxing beach. It honestly is top tier! We were able to get a sun bed for the day for $20 (including both me and my partner), the sea is crystal clear and as blue as the sky. It was probably the best beach we've gone to in our cruise and thats because our taxi driver recommended it. It's about a 20 minute drive from the cruise terminal/port. There are bars, small souvenir shacks and restaurants nearby but its not a lot compared to other beaches but that doesnt matter when the beach is so quiet and serene. There is also jet skiing available!
