Read moreThe Shirley Heights Lookout an Historic Military (now decommissioned) Fort and is situated in the English Harbour area and it is a part of the Antigua National Parks. The spectacular, breathtaking and picturesque hilltop view of the Nelson's Dockyard and environs is the most Iconic and photographed view in Antigua and Barbuda. The sunset views from that location (with Restaurant, Bar and Event Facilities) is quite spectacular and the live music and party atmosphere on Sundays is especially electrifying. I have enjoyed the Great Food, live Music and Entertainment of several occasions ( the bar-b-que ribs is mouthwatering and delicious). Many Weddings and other events have this venue in common and the awesome view ( anytime of day ) is just fantastic forming a great backdrop to many "I was here" Photos. The staff is a quite friendly and helpful bunch making the whole experience more relaxing and enjoyable. The grounds do not only consist of a cliff but there is ample lawn space and also shaded eating and picnic areas as well as a restored Georgian era building and other structures of interest. Souvenir Vendors sometimes give nuggets of information to the inquiring visitor. All in all this is a great place of interest in Antigua and Barbuda and should definitely be on the list of top Places to Visit...
