We're here for a vacation with another couple of friends. This restaurant was recommended to us and it was truly amazing. We started with some appetizers, which were delicious. Shakudry tray, with great prosciutto, ham, hard cheese, soft cheese and Girkin pickles. Ceasar salad, Soo good! (and we try the Ceasar salad everywhere we go) then for our main course we each chose a different dish and everyone absolutely LOVED their meal. I enjoyed the perfectly seared sushi grade Tuna with a soy reduction sauce and mashed potatoes, my hubby John had the fall off the bone "so tender!" he said, ribs with roasted potatoes, my girlfriend Marni had the daily feature, pesto gnocchi "it was amazing' and her husband, Doug loved his seafood linguine. All pasta is authentic from Italy, Andrea, the owner came out to check in on our dinner. What a great young man. Kept the restaurant going though COVID-19. Found ways to earn money by cooking for private yacht tours. His love of food is apartment with each bite,. Now even growing some of his own veggies and herbs the flavors of Italian cooking are truly amazing. We would highly recommend it to everyone. Priced reasonably for Antigua standards. Beautiful atmosphere right on the water. Very friendly staff always smiling. Akim was our server and was great 👍 We...
Read moreThe service was fine. The food wasn't cheap, but we were told it was Antiguan average. Maybe so, but the quality wasn't anywhere close to the price. Tasteless "Angus" burger, first served well done when ordered rare - then, when we agreed on medium rare, the meat was cold. Didn't taste like Angus, more like basic supermarket ground beef. This for a 26US burger, probably worth 26EC (about 1/3). My wife ate a lasagna, not tasty at all, which you would expect at 24US. We also noticed that of the company beside us, two had ordered lasagna, but both of them ate only half of it. And it wasn't because the portion was big...
Based on the very rude reply I got I have to take back what I said about nice service. Apparently you can't take criticism. The way I understand it is that you make a habit of treating customers differently. There may also be a problem with your eyesight, as you can't tell a purse from a backpack, nor a summer dress from hiking gear. Based on the food, I would never have guessed that you regard yourself as a fine restaurant, I would be more inclined to referencing it as a tourist trap. However, I'll make a note to don my tuxedo next time, although, come to think of it, I might give it a miss. BTW, better burgers in the...
Read moreIncanto would not be a restaurant experience I would recommend. It leaves much to be desired. The servers/ owners are very friendly and try their best to sell the meals and discuss the menu. It's not befitting the food, environment, or the experience. The restaurant is located in a very obscure location; the wait time for the food, beverages, and service are too long. For an appetizer, 1 main course, and beverages a total of 3 hour within a very empty restaurant with no music or proper ambiance given the cost and marketing of the restaurant. Unfortunately the food was not worth the wait...It is very basic and lacks flavor/ spices and finesse to be located on a caribbean island. The only menu item that was truly enjoyable was the wine, most options were not available.... The view is incredible, simply breathtaking! BUT the furnishings within the restaurant pale in comparison. The tablescape and menu are time worn like all the other furnishings. The bathroom looks pulled together from a thrift store sale. It's very rundown and sad. It gives a very unsettling feeling, added on by a free roaming dog in the restaurant seating area...Incanto needs a revamp of the menu/food, the environment, and the entire...
