Worst (and weirdest) customer experience of my life. The older lady with grey hair calls out "who's next" and i was at the front of the line after being in the shop for 5minutes when the store was almost empty prior, and I said "hi, can I grab some fresh fish?".. and she says "okay, what about you?".. and points at the girl behind me, who then walks to the counter beside me, and proceeds to reel-off about 14 items, and 50 "uuummmm"s in between, ordering a 14-piece-feed of food for herself, whilst I waited, at the front of the line..
After her order was placed, I then was asked "okay, now you wanted fresh fish?.. well, there's hardly any left".. as if she was suggesting there was nothing left for me and i should shop elsewhere... then I said "can we check?" And there were 3x huge steaks of swordfish and a good 5kg of Tuna there.
If my partner wasn't so keen on fish i'd have walked out. Considering we drove there from Tilba based on high ratings, i thought i'd flag that one of your staff either has a mental issue (and sorry for that if she does) or has something else going on that needs to be looked at, especially as I was a (reasonably well presented) anonymous person passing through town to grab dinner.
Fish was good, by the way, but shocking service. If she isn't disabled, she...
Read moreIn Jan '19 we again pulled up for a night or two on bitumen service road between beach dunes and sports oval with Skate Park at one end of little road and toilets at the other end of it. The shops are in sight and marina/harbour close by - check photos for exactly where. There's toilets down near beach car park that are open 24 hours and usually clean. We've stopped here about 6 times over the years and nobody has ever bothered us or taken any notice of us. When here, we're out of the way, close to the shops, beach and harbour/marina. A great little place and if you get to enjoy it here too, then please don't leave any rubbish behind or they WILL put up a NO camping sign and spoil...
