Had not visited this area for a couple of years now and it was good to see yesterday all the area being used properly by walkers, with and without their dogs, young families, bicycle riders and older walkers with their wheelchairs etc. Many happy canines enjoying the creek too.
The one thing I noticed were the number of old, big, round cement sewerage (?) sumps spread throughout the green park area. I know I’ve seen these before but yesterday there seemed to be a strong off putting odour surrounding most of them! This is probably a query for the BCC or Urban Utilities, but can something be done about this or at least checked on? Had recent rain or hot weather caused this?
Only saw one Restroom over near Norths Juniors and can’t say I saw any picnic tables, just single benches. No playground as such, only one near North’s Juniors field. Walkers themselves were very...

Read moreUnfortunately a very good park that's degraded quite a lot over the past couple of years.
Flood debris clogs most of the creek, creek banks have been washed out and eroded leading to collapses and undercutting and dead trees and weeds abound.
The park surface itself is a mix of hardpacked dirt, slick clay sections and swathes of standing water/mud crawling with mosquitoes.
Have spent hundreds of hours chasing Council and further up the environmental chain to no avail, literally told fixing waterways is in their too...
