Mount Coot-tha Summit Lookout is one of the best spots to take in the beauty of Brisbane from above. The panoramic view of the entire city skyline, the winding Brisbane River, and even the distant mountains is absolutely stunning—especially around sunset or at night when the city lights sparkle.

It’s a peaceful and refreshing escape from the busy city. The lookout area is clean, well-maintained, and offers plenty of space to relax and enjoy the scenery. There are also telescopes for a closer look at the landmarks, and you can enjoy a coffee or snack from the café nearby while soaking in the view.

It’s very easy to access by car, with free parking available, and a great spot for photos, short walks, or just spending quality time with friends or family.

Great views of Brisbane, definitely the best you’ll see while keeping your feet on the ground... there are some interesting information boards on many points of interest, and some on the history the region.

It’s quite a manageable 20min walk from Slaughter Falls carpark, up to the Lookout. Paved all the way and only a few actual steps near the top.. It’s about 2.6k each way.. but it’s all downhill on the way back so that doesn’t really count.

The cafe is quite busy on the weekends but the service is quick considering the amount of customers they have.
