Arrived at visitor office at 3:54 pm to ask if we can get some water for our family caravan we travel in and was willing to pay as to there policies, but we got rudely told they were closed when asked we only wanted water agin they rudely said we could not get water. Even tho there sign says available for water between office hours which where till 4pm. As can clearly seen by the date stamp on the phones photo it was before then we cut it short as we travelled quite far that day and was really rushing to get there on time. We have two young kids that needed a shower that night and some drinking water. But they didn’t seem to care. Thanks Collie I will not recommend anyone to visit your town.

Terrific service from the lovely team here at the Collie Visitors Centre. I’m hiking the Bibbulmun Track, and this was my first stop in town. They gave me clear directions, a range of eating options (all of them great) and guided me to the caravan park where I was staying. They have camping gas and food, and there is even a ‘hikers box’ where you can drop off and pick up small items to support your journey. Collie is a great little town, with everything you need for a stopover or rest day, and the people have been really friendly. If you come here, stop at the visitors centre first!

Full of knowledge about whatever you might need during your visit in collie or surrounding areas. We took a natural flower guide and enjoyed a beautiful walk in the afternoon. There’s an interesting outdoor train museum as well so even if the collie visitors centre isn’t open it’s definitely worth going to have a look and enjoy learning a bit of western Australian coal mining history and train use… just don’t hop in or take a piece home as there are asbestos warnings! Enjoy your Collie visit!!!!

Located on the westen entrance into Collie smack on the highway. Easy to find look for the steam trains with 2 beautifully looked after restored green steam engines and a black one next to a big yellow digger and at roads edge little "Polly" a little rail engine from way back. Oppersite this lovely visitors centre lays the local musum. Full of history. Inside the visitors center u can do a tour stepping back in time down a makeshift mine and learn of the history of Collie coal and mining. The visitor centre has all the info you will need from local accomidation, history, places to go, things to see and do. As well as information on buses that travel to and from collie on a reg. Basis. They also can assist with that gift to take home and all about the local native bush flowers and watering holes. A must stop for a pic with a train or to find out more...
