Read moreA hidden gem in Collie. The Mapo Tofu was quite tasty, and the stir-fried beef with shallots and the pineapple chicken were great too - the meat was really tender.
The place is run by a Chinese couple. We had a chat with the lady and found her very friendly. We only wish we had a few more days in Collie to hear more of her stories and try more dishes.
Food took a bit longer to come out, but it was totally understandable. The slower pace of the food is probably just part of the laid-back small-town...

Worst prawn omelette ever $21.50 for 3 prawns and was full of celery, peas & onion. Brought plenty of these from other restaurants and they have never had chunks of celery in them and since when is Oyster sauce runny like water???? Fried rice was boring.
Will try the other restaurant next time. Went by the reviews and I Now regret choosing golden bowl. Waste of money....
