It was a pleasant Autumn day with shades of colour in the surrounding trees, sunlight filtering through nearby gums, green lawn and flowers about. The structure of the Visitors Centre is an inviting mix of steel, wood and glass, placed near the steam trains, oval, and bike/board jump area. There's a visitor centre with the usual items for sale, an information person, a bike hire centre, a lovely cafe with 'home baked' goods and soups. Adjacent are toilets, showers for free use, catering to those who enjoy the trails. Easy...

"Beautifully presented visitor centre" We loved our recent visit to this visitor centre. A fantastic & informative journey back in time. The bush fires history in this Town is an amazing but sad story. The centre itself is a beautiful structure worth taking a closer look at. Staff were VERY friendly and informative, of which they couldn't have helped us more than they already did. Well done for an EXCELLENT focus on quality customer service. Seems to be somewhat fairly 'rare' in this small regional town! by...

I am riding the Munda Biddi and posted my food here. Was calling to find out about accommodation and it turns out the place had a fire next door so closed at 1 but Kellie was happy to return to give me my parcel and even sold me a gas canister for which she had to open the till. She had also sent me a text message of accommodation options. When I left the centre she let me out of the closest door to point out the hotel and held the tapes up for me to get under. Hard to find better service...

Trail users love this trails hub which is a place where they can replenish trail supplies, have a hot shower, recharge and connect to the free WiFi and is close to town services and amenities. The nationally-acclaimed skate park and pump track sit adjacent to the Trails and Visitor Centre as does the Hotham Valley Tourist Railway. Dwellingup offers a range of accommodation and camping options for visitors, allowing you to explore the town’s natural wonders in your own way.

So happy to have visited this are and the Dam a few Kms away from here. We Picnicked at the Dam and were very happy to visit this area with its railway museum. The staff in the little stores and station were most helpful. The toilet area here was kept clean. A plus point for an electric vehicle owner is there is one charging point. We hadn't found any emu's, kangaroos, long neck tortoise or koalas so we improvised at the Dam picnic area. (See my picture)

Great MTB trails for all right out front. More advanced a short drive away. Beautiful example of well managed MTB area respecting the delicate bushland, while encouraging us to be part of it. Good public showers, wash rooms, bike tools, and wash down station. Yummy food, drink and friendly staff too. Oh and some choo-choo trains set a nice scene too. Kids loved them when younger ... so did Dad ... Dad still does 🤓
