Im not sure what’s going on, it’s the first time in a year coming back here… used to be really enjoyable. I’m embarrassed I talked the cafe up to my sister and who came to visit over the weekend from the city.

Ordered poached eggs with avocado and spinach on sourdough.. and I got dry stale bread, a tea spoon amount of avocado on each piece, a massive handful of spinach to cover up the lack of avocado, poached eggs that were runny but when ordered asked to be well done. Mushroom, feta, spinach with balsamic on sourdough. Bread the same as above, canned mushrooms of some sort? massive handful of spinach to hide the burnt/stale bread but ok amount of feta and balsamic. Ordered milkshakes and the stainless steel cups they come in smelt appalling, couldn’t finish them.

Before ordering was told if I’m ordering coffee it’s going to be awhile… no positive welcome or anything from server, the barista wasn’t happy she had a lot of coffee orders continuously coming in as people were ordering take aways, telling them they’ll be waiting awhile, gave off the vibe that she was irritated by the orders, but that’s the whole point of her job?

Considering the majority of the people who come in over the weekend are tourist to the town, Spend some money on new cushions for your chairs, no one enjoys sitting on a seat with a cushion that’s split and has foam pouring out of it, Customer service definitely needs to be worked on in front of house and quality control of food leaving kitchen needs to be implemented before the cafe looses more customers, word does travel and it...

How fun! This cafe is a treat on the eyes, plenty of interesting Knick knacks on the walls and characteristic features. The flow of the cafe is a little off with two counters making it a little confusing as to who is getting served first. One is clearly marked takeaway but seemingly it was for everyone. Our order was coffees as per usual and cake to compliment. The pricing was fair and Blue Wren as you would expect offers cash or card payment (sometimes questionable in Carona times). The coffee was average considering it came from an espresso machine. I hate even typing the words however after years of owning a coffee business myself, I believe it is not hard to produce a consistent cup, especially in a fixed cafe setting.

The cake could have used 15 seconds in the microwave but nothing a sit on the dash of the ute can’t fix. I would love to see their coffee come out in a cup with Blue Wren Cafe on it or a nice plain cup, not the same cups every wanna-be cafe throws together. Blue Wren certainly is different and has a great feel, once the quality of the coffee meets that standard the aesthetic has created, we have a stunning cafe on our hands! Regardless we will be back for more coffee and cake on our travels! Thanks...

Came for a quick bite to eat. Walked into the take away area. Two staff members were shouting at each other. After a few minutes of being ignored, we were asked if we wanted take away or to dine in. My partner decided we'd dine in, and got told we were to walk inside to a different counter. We grabbed a table and looked at the menu's. Frightfully expensive, we heard other tables saying that as well. When we decided, I walked up to order. Woman behind the counter didn't seem like she wanted to work there. Quite short and rude. I ordered breakfast for my partner and myself, was told they couldn't poach eggs because the poacher was broken... Pretty sure you just need a pot, hot water and some vinegar. That's how I've always done it. Anyway, decided we'd try the daily specials instead. Chicken Parmigiana was soggy. Chips were white and pretty much still raw potato. My partner had the chili con carne, which looked more like a soup. Whilst waiting what seemed like an eternity for our sub par meals, we found much nicer restaurants on google maps across the road. I would not recommended this restaurant to anyone. I'd avoid it...

Stopped in on Good Friday while travelling on the motorbike for the weekend. Me and a mate had a coffee and a big breakfast. Everything was delicious but a bit too much pepper on the tomatoes. The staff were friendly and the place has a good atmosphere. Last time had a steak sandwich and as we have been before we were expecting good things. I did give a 5 star revue last time. On our return ride on Easter Sunday we stopped in again for a coffee at 2:09 pm. As the hours stated close was 3:30pm we didn’t expect to be turned away as the staff had already closed yet there were still patrons inside and waiting to be served outside. We watched multiple people walk in and then back out looking disappointed. Now for a cafe which is quiet throughout the week you’d think you would stay open on the weekend while there was still customers seeking service, but to close an hour and a half earlier than the stated closing time bewilders me. So unfortunately I can only give 4 stars on this occasion.

We keep coming back, but have finally realised that this place is way better in theory than in practice. Prices make you assume that the food will be of a high standard - it absolutely isn’t. The last table’s dishes are not cleared until the next table’s food is brought out, by the glum looking staff. Attached is a photo of plates we sat next to for an hour, watching the flies go nuts on their feast. While most of the food is of an average standard, only choose the scones if you are going hunting and haven’t brought ammo. The staff are abrupt when you finally coax any response from them, but nice and quick to point at the cutlery at the counter, that they should have replenished on the table in the first place. If Dwellingup had another breakfast option, this place would be dead.

What a delightful find! On our recent long weekend stay at tge Dwellingup Chalet & Camping park we enjoyed two meals at The Blue Wren Cafe. Quaint, Quirky. Olde worlde. Vintage decor with eclectic range of dining tables and chairs, it's not short on light hearted atmosphere. Great outdoor area, and garden, with a cubby! We were greeted with a smile and cheerful service, and care of my particular preference for little mayonnaise on my wrap wasn't too much trouble. We enjoyed our coffees and brunch. Twice! Right on the main street, you can't miss it!. Later in the day, a fellow camper in our group needed to buy a birthday cake. Perfect! The Cafe supplied our choice of delicious cake and tart slices to take away. They went down a treat! Good friendly country Cafe, highly recommended .
