This is an interesting place to visit. The art and woodworking is a credit to the local artists and craftsmen. Spend the time to look around, try the little activities, and above all speak to the artists as they work on their creations. There is an obstacle course for the young if they are game to give it a try and a tower to climb into the forest canopy. The key to enjoying this place is to take your time, look at everything and talk to everyone. I would give 5 stars but the place feels a little rundown however, even this may be a little unfair considering dust, flora, and fauna are all part of the charm and an indication of Australia's harsh environment. Read moreA brilliant morning spent looking through the Discovery Centre. Greeted by very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteer staff. Heaps of activities to keep children amused. The trail walks are a must and really good to do and lots to see. The tree top walk is very interesting. I also recommend you sit for 30 minutes and watch the DVD of the Dwellingup bushfire in 1961. How lucky those people were to have not suffered any fatalities. For a gold coin donation it is 💯 worth a visit with or without children. We were a couple on our own and spent nearly 3 hours...
Read moreWe rushed to the Forest Discovery Centre 5 minutes before it’s closing time when my husband realised that this was the same place he’d bought our beloved wooden fruit bowl over twenty years ago. Met a very kind and understanding staff, Megan, who let us roam around and patiently explained what we could do although she was packing up to go home.
