These guys would go broke if not for the location and lack of competition! For starters, the girl who took our order didn't seem like she wanted to be there, and 'custom' requests seemed too much trouble. We ordered a long black coffee, which she seemed to have an opinion about. We ordered a hot chocolate, only to be told that a double shot of chocolate wouldn't be needed because theirs is strong enough. We ordered a cheese & ham croissant, not toasted which the girl also appeared to have an opinion about, and we ordered a freshly baked blueberry muffin, which we also asked not to be heated. Going to the trouble of getting a plate & knife from the kitchen seemed like the hardest thing the girl would do all day. The hot chocolate wasn't strong enough, could definitely have done with an extra shot, but tastes differ so how about the staff be taught to just take a customer's order instead of criticise it. The croissant was stale & dry. The muffin, we took back to complain. It was over baked, hard as a rock it was difficult to cut open. It was as dry as old scones. The staff's response to the complaint was that it came out of the fridge. Pointing out that meant it wasn't baked fresh, their response was that is was baked recently, on the premises. Anyway, it was heated, and butter was provided, which all helped to moisturise the muffin somewhat, but still made it unpleasant to eat. They did offer an exchange or refund, but we didn't want to take our chances on something else bad, and we did want to eat something. The coffee was mediocre, verging on the side of bad. On a positive note, the girl who brought our drinks to the table was all smiles & friendly. I come to Dwellingup every week, but I won't be returning here. Lost opportunity for...

Things worth noting:
theyāre in a really beautiful space which feels so warm and homey during the colder seasons and days they have a lot of open space which is great if you have kids or a pram they also have an amazing play area for the kids inside the cafe. My little one is autistic and we often canāt take him to cafe settings but he was fully entertained by the chalk wall and play kitchen they accidentally over charged me but were extremely professional and helpful when rectifying the issue theyāre super friendly and seems happy to just be at work thereās lots of great vegetarian options for food which seems hard to come by in the dwellingup/Boddington area not only is there lots of vegetarian options, they make things properly e.g. house made beans and not tinned beans really good coffee and drink selection I bought the chai they sell in packets and itās probably my favourite sticky chai to date so worth coming back for the chai alone itās in a great spot in terms of parking if you have little ones who run or are trying to bring multiple little kids in at once toilets are super close so also great to stop by as a pit stop for car trips thereās also a train in the window view which was another thing that kept my autistic little one really happy...

Just FYI I was at Blue Wren yesterday and was yelled at (twice) by owner for eating my burger I had ordered as takeaway there. I had ordered a dine in coffee and wasn't going to finish my meal there as had to leave (hence why I ordered takeaway) was just drinking coffee, but will not go back despite 10 years and apx $1000 I spend there a year as this is second time I have been rudely spoken to.
Given the choice Waypoint is far better not only for coffee and food but customer service...
