In nutshell, terrible quality food and service. There was a young girl in training who was fabulous, however the older/senior lady kept interfering pointing out what she was doing wrong is a condesending manner which was embarrassing. Rather than taking her aside privately and providing constructive feedback, she chose to do it infront on customers which was embarrassing and unnecessary. We reassure the girl that she was doing a great job.
I order a garden salad with chicken. The chicken was inedible it was not close to being cooked and was translucent and pink. I tired one piece which went straight through me. The older waitress asked if everything was OK, I mentioned the chicken to which her response was, “it is cooked, you’re the only person who has ever complained” then she walked off. There was no form of customer service what so ever from her. See photo for proof. The colour is from the balsamic dressing! I litterally would not feed it to a dog
It was very over priced. My partners burger also gave him a bad stomach and had a ciabatta bun which was like a brick.
The venue was pretty cool and the young waitress in training was lovely. However, if the older lady is working I would not recommend going to Longriders. The two stars are for the venue and younger waitress only.
IN RESPONSE ———- From a customers perspective. Perhaps appologise for serving substandard food. The way you spoke to the younger waitress infront of customers is embarrassing for you, not us or her, you pulled her up in a manner you are clearly not self aware of. The chicken was ferral, is was disgusting. I’m a attempting to be somewhat positive.
Regard the egg, my response was “whatever way it comes as standard, if there’s an option then poached otherwise whatever way it comes with the burgers but definitely not bouled”.
We WILL continue to support many local business, just not likely to come back...
Read moreAwful food and much worse service, avoid this place if you can. I realised half way through eating it that my chicken parmigiana was not cooked and the chicken was raw. I took it to the counter to let them know, I was told it 'wasn't that raw' to which I replied it's okay never mind just letting you know as this can be dangerous, the older lady offered me a free coffee which I declined.
Before we left I returned to the counter to ask if she would like to offer me a refund for the raw chicken to which she replied that they don't give refunds, I'd already eaten half the dish and that I had actually already declined her offer of a refund as she had said did I want a coffee or something else, she agressively and rudely explained I must have misunderstood her. I said I was shocked she wouldn't refund the raw chicken dish and that no I had declined a coffee. Then she grudgingly said she would refund it, unbelievably this was followed my more abusive and irrational comments about how I had misunderstood her offer of a coffee was actually me declining a refund. Under cooked chicken is a mistake that can happen anywhere, the aggressive, irrational rudeness of this staff member was something you don't come across every day....
Read moreAverage food worthy of no hype, exceptionally slow service in excess of 45 minutes wait, there was a receipt literally in amongst my food, and I could not stand the live piano and vocal music making conversation more difficult than needed leading to an unsocial atmosphere. To top it all off, the manageress has a dismissive attitude and is quite unaccepting of any criticisms or suggestions, and for her to tell me that my opinion is wrong and that nobody else has the same criticisms proves that there is no understanding of customer service. I won't be leading any rides here, I thoroughly hated it and will share my experience with vigor.
Edit: The reply indicates that you did not understand a word of what I said to you on the day and seek only to take offence to what I'm saying. Again, no understanding of customer service. There was no criticism of a national flag involved, merely the question of its relevance and confusing theme, but again you seek only to take offence to my feedback. Banning people from your establishment for providing feedback also shows a very warm, welcoming experience which as I stated will be shared, though fortunately does not affect me. You needed not take offence to the feedback or tell me why...
