The service was extremely slow. The first dish, fried rice, came 10 minutes after ordering, while the skewers were expected to take another 20 minutes.
Grilled pork belly – For the first time in my life, I saw pork belly cut into chunks for grilling, and it was mostly lean meat.
Grilled oysters with garlic – The oysters might have been fresh, but I can’t understand why the garlic seasoning was sour, and it completely failed to mask the fishy taste. It’s like the two elements didn’t belong together.
Grilled chives – Dry and overly salty.
Grilled kidney skewers – Three skewers for one tiny kidney. Ignoring the size, the color was dark, and the texture was tough. This was the driest and most pungent pork kidney I’ve ever had.
Grilled pig’s trotters – Served with a patch of hair still on it.
Eggplant in foil – Clearly undercooked—still green and hard.
Beef and lamb skewers – The skewers were large, but the meat was so bland and dry that it was hard to distinguish whether it was beef, lamb, or something else. There was almost no fat, and the taste relied entirely on an excessive amount of seasoning.
Salt-and-pepper squid – Not a trace of salt, pepper, or any seasoning—just a plate of plain fried squid tentacles.
Grilled gluten (面筋) – Didn’t even need to taste it; it was obviously deep-fried, not grilled.
The owner’s attitude was terrible. How can someone running a business be so arrogant? When we raised the issue about the oysters’ taste, he yelled at the server, insisting, "There’s no problem, absolutely no problem!" The server didn’t do anything wrong—she neither cooked nor handled the ingredients. Was he shouting at her or at us? I’ve never seen anyone run a...

Was a bit excited to try this place after seeing people posting about it recently.
To be fair, the skewers are pretty good but i will not come back for its service at all.
We over ordered as we did not know the skewers are quite a lot so i went straight to the owner( it seems) to say i want to cancel one of my order if it is not cooked. She seems really reluctant and not happy and said she will check and if it is cooked, then she will serve. Obviously did not go to the kitchen immediately and next few minutes the dish is out and say it is cooked.
Thats okay. We got another dish that never came and i wanted to cancel as well but i know how this will turn out so we did not say anything until the waitress checked and realised one of our dish is not there. I said i want to cancel it and again(if it is not cooked).
Heard them communicating and the kitchen boss probably not so happy and obviously only started cooking the dish after that and serve us a wet fried rice and say sorry it is cooked. Also the dish was served after like ten odd minutes after we said we want to cancel so i don’t think it was “cooked.”
They serve the dish like a bang maybe to avoid cancellation but the drinks was ages. The food was spicy for some of us and we got the drink last after our big table order.
Also, would not recommend their house beer and the cocktail AT ALL.
We were also charged for a 2% service fee on a normal Saturday.

Read moreThe menu has no descriptions of the food, just the name of the dish. Had to rely on the waitress for information. We went there because of the grilled oysters but really was just raw oyster with vermicelli noodles and a whole heap of garlic pieces that seemed to be charred from tossing in a pan, can confirm they have not in fact been grilled at all. The photo of this dish looked appetising in their shop front window however were extremely large oysters and personally if they are bigger than my hand, I don’t want it. Bigger doesn’t always mean better. Was expecting one plate instead it was two large plates with 3 oysters each. Didn’t finish even get through one; was turned off by the flavour pairing.
The skewers are good but bringing it out on a large charcoal grill really wasn’t practical, the grill was doing nothing. Could’ve put the skewers on a plate instead.
The service was a bit strange I’ll be honest with you. For what you pay and the service you get is a little off.
They give you a docket with what you’ve ordered with no amounts stipulated. You go to pay at the counter and they don’t give you the receipt with prices, they make a fuss if you ask for the receipt.
I don’t think I would recommend this place to be honest. We ended up paying $170 for 5 dishes (two large ones around $40 each) and water no other drinks for just two people. Prices are super inflated for such mediocre or...
