I ordered a Amber pearl latte after 6 PM today. When I got home and started drinking it, I found something like tofu residue inside (not crushed ice, but residue). I even made a special trip back to the store to ask the staff about it, but their attitude was terrible. They asked if I had shaken the drink and said it might be milk residue. Milk residue??? Isnât that just spoiled milk? They even showed me an empty milk carton and said it hadnât expired. Just because it hasnât expired doesnât mean it wasnât stored improperly and gone bad. The milk tea I received clearly had curdled milk in it. They werenât even willing to check it at first; only after I insisted did they reluctantly do so. I didnât receive any compensation either. Their bad attitude was one thing, but being questioned as if it was my fault was another. I hope the owner of this store can work on improving their staffânot just their drink-making skills. If youâre the owner, forget it. I wonât be recommending this place to my...
Read moreI gave this tea shop 5 stars for 2 major reasons: the pearls are just the right consistency (it's surprising how many shops use pearls that are not fresh or too hard), and many drinks can be ordered warm or hot.
I came looking for the authentic taste of brown sugar pearl milk tea and I found it in T4's "Amber pearl latte". Served warm it was just delicious. My friend had a taro milk drink served hot which she really enjoyed.
The lady serving, even though she was busy, was just so friendly and patiently answered our questions about dairy free products (if you're dairy intolerant, they have non-milk teas as well as an amber oat latte, and many of their milk drinks are made with powdered milk which the lady said is dairy free).
This shop now comes in equal favourites with teamorrow in Northbridge (I prefer teamorrow's pearls but they don't serve...
Read moreI came in for an order I had made through Hungry Panda and while there were some misunderstanding between the staff on orders received through the app, there was no need for the experienced female staff to be absolutely snarky and condescending in giving guidance / feedback to the junior female staff, who seemed to be new on the job. Even though they conversed in Mandarin, I understood every single word that was said. This is the perfect example of a toxic workplace.
While I understand that perhaps, it was a stressful evening with lots of orders coming in, I urge for action and intervention in this matter, and adequate training to be provided to the staff on how to be better team mates.
To the young female staff - keep it up, you're doing great on the job! it takes time to learn new things, but with grit and patience, I believe you'll do...
