This park in the heart of Victoria Park suburb in Perth has just recently have a facelift. A new attractive light and fountain display was installed. A half-basketball field was built alongside a ping pong table. The old children playground was renovated. Picnic tables are also now available and toilets are located in the vicinity of the park near the car park at the Albany Highway direction.

Read moreI love that Vic Park Market happens at John Macmillan Park every Sunday morning from 8am - 12pm. I buy my fresh produce there, have a coffee or fresh juice and a good browse around all of the awesome local business stalls. The kids can play in the playground and there's always great live music to add to the atmosphere. There's also a Containers for Change depot and you can recycle used batteries and plastic bottle tops at John Macmillan Park. Love...
Read moreVery cool art installation here. It totally looks like a Stargate. It vents water and has coloured led lights around the edge to accent the water mist. Such a cool effect! The only downside is that there isn't a drain below it, so the water turns the grass into mud. Wear boots!
It's a shame that it wasn't setup to reclaim the water and recycle it, but that's about the only negative thing about the art...
