My family and I , loves Pietro's Gelato, and i'm almost sorry to don't leave 5 stars because a poor customer service received 15 min ago in the shop in Northbridge. Unfortunately i don't know the name of the guy who served us , We ordered a vanilla ice cream with chocolate topping for our son, without asking which chocolate topping do we want, he decided to put dark chocolate topping on. When my wife told him we wanted the milk chocolate topping, that's when he started with a bad attitude, and getting worst... He chuck a scoop of gelato on the cone without fixing it, as he passed the ice cream to my wife, the ice cream literally falling from the cone, when ask if he can fix it so it doesn't dripping before even eating, he clearly wasn't happy with that request, then my wife took a cup to try to catching the dripping gelato , he immediately snapped the cup from her hand & chuck the cup in the bin. My wife ask why he rather throw the cup in the bin than give it to us, he told us the company policy does not allow the customers to share the ice cream after buying... What I don't understand is why they have a company policy controlling how their customers eatting the ice cream or is this just an excuse for bad service? They could have offer the option to charge the cup and definitely avoid to snap it from our hands... Anyway our intended was to also buy a tubs to eat at home , and after the event we left unhappy and without Gelato...

Sorry Pietro your Gelato is very yummy but the customer...

Pietro Gelateria in Victoria Park has been our go-to spot since day one, and it’s easy to see why it’s stood the test of time. As the original shop, it still sets the standard with consistently high-quality gelato crafted by Matt, who’s not only passionate about flavour but genuinely listens to customer feedback—a big part of what makes this place so successful. Even in the middle of Perth’s winter chill, you’ll find people lined up out the door, eager for that signature scoop. The ever-evolving rotation of creative flavours ensures there’s always something new to try, while the classics remain reliably delicious. The ambiance inside strikes a perfect balance—relaxed, welcoming, and ideal for a late-night dessert stop. Staff turnover seems fairly common, but the service has always been friendly and efficient. With options like take-home tubs, gelato-filled cannoli, cakes, and a growing range of merch, Pietro continues to innovate without losing its charm. Have visited Pietro Gelateria over a dozen times since it was recommended to us as awesome by an Italian friend in January. Now had I written this review back in January I would have given 5 stars for the perfectly creamy Nocciola and Pistachio offerings, and the 'Lavender & Earl Grey' flavour which fast became my favourite.

But in recent weeks we've come to notice the 'watery' texture of some flavours - previously my beloved Earl Grey, and last night it was the coffee & salted caramel. Nocciola was excellent but has been hit and miss in the past. It started melting before I even held the cone and I wrestled to keep the scoop from falling to the floor and had to work fast to eat it before it melted. I didn't enjoy my gelato as much as I should. True gelato should be creamy and hold it's form. There shouldn't be a sugary texture of crystallised water present no matter how minute.

It's a shame because we loved Pietro previously and it is so conveniently close to South Perth. Will stick to taking a drive to...

Updated by Nov 14, 2023. They really are genius in creating flavourful gelatos. Today I went here for their limited edition of Indian flavour series. Their Kulfi and cardamom barfi flavoured gelatos are no jokes. The kulfi flavoured gelato really packed with real saffron flavour, rose water and hint of cardamom and generously adorned with pistachios. While the cardamom barfi gelato really uses chunks of barfi and fresh green cardamom powder. These two flavours unfortunately are just being their temporary seasonal edition. Exotic flavours of gelato can be found here. My favourite being the vegan pandan and coconut gelato. Ut really tastes so refreshing and nearly the same also in texture with Thai Coconut milk ice cream back in South East Asia. Their usual velvety gelatos like pistachio and hazelnut too are very flavourful with real roasted nuts instead of food essences. Service was outstanding!

Pietro Gelateria in East Victoria Park, WA, has quickly become a standout spot for ice cream lovers, offering a refreshing twist on traditional gelato. What sets this spot apart is its array of unique and adventurous flavors, blending both classic and unconventional ingredients. From rich, creamy pistachio to more experimental flavors like fig and mascarpone, there's always something intriguing to try. The variety ensures that every visit feels like a new experience, and the craftsmanship behind each scoop is evident in the taste and texture. This has become my new favorite ice cream spot, and it’s clear why. The quality of the gelato, combined with the creativity of the flavors, makes each visit exciting. The gelateria’s welcoming atmosphere and friendly service add to the charm, making it a go-to place whether you're treating yourself or introducing friends to something special.
