Buchan Point — Attraction in Ellis Beach

It's absolutely a beautiful beach with great shady spots all along the coast. It's easy to get into the water there as well. BUT it is most definitely a nudey beach, particularly seemed to be more towards older gay men. We were there before (with our swimsuits on) many of them showed up, one of them decided to lay naked right next to our stuff with the entire beach open. It was really awkward. Just a fare warning to any unknown tourists...

Beautiful adult only beach. Always a great place to go get some sun, sand and sea.

Busiest days are the weekend.

Best to get down early 8.30/9ish or late afternoon to grab good shady spots.

It's all changed since the big flood. Still beautiful. A place you can be yourself.

Nice beach considering the tropical location. Water not clear and risk of deadly jellyfish in the summer season. Lovely views of the islands offshore. Check tides as the water might be very shallow for paddling in. Plenty of friendly people around. Don't be shy. Beautiful cool shady trees, nice breezes...
