Love this area. Local to the GC so have been coming for 20 plus years. Great place for scuba diving and snorkling. You'll find plenty of divers etc when it's on the high tide down here going in for a dive. Dog off leash Beach. Cafe is great. It recently did extensions so now it's even bigger and better. Takeaway or dine in. Public toilets. Lots of parking but can still get pretty full in good weather and school holidays. No public transport all the way to the end. Think buses only go to Seaworld. You can certainly cycle all the way to the end. Nice quite areas down on the smaller spit area where there's tables and another set of public toilets. All in all a great place.

The changes that have been made have certainly enhanced the appeal of the Seaway. New wide pathways, covered rest pavillions, stairways down to platforms to allow access to the water for both fishing and snorkelling, as well as surfers. New plantings are already beautifying the surrounds. It was such a pleasure to stroll along the Seaway wall and we also enjoyed an excellent brunch at the Cafe. All in all, it is a great experience.

Just a wonderful spot to go for a walk. Dogs need to be on lead but otherwise you can just walk around. Walk out the end of the breakwater. Also there's the federation walk coastal reserve which you can walk along amongst the sand dunes. They always seem to be doing new work which is nice. Stainless steel viewing rails and there's always some action on the water as well. Hint, the parking is always free but closes up after dark.

Disappointed with the Changes We’ve been coming here for years to enjoy New Year’s with family and friends, but the recent upgrades have really taken the magic away. There’s no longer any parking, and open fires—which were a big part of our celebration—are no longer allowed. It’s a real shame because what used to be a fun, relaxed tradition now feels restricted and inconvenient. We understand progress, but it’s sad to see the community spirit and simple joys...
