Very well maintained park with beautiful shaded playground and shady pathways for cool walks along ponds. It is an old park so the trees are majestic and provide plenty of shade everywhere It also has some hills (for card board sliding) and open grass aeas for some ball games. Bring the kids scooter or bike to have a ride along the concrete paths. Don't forget your insect repellent though as it is close to the coast and has a lot of water itself so there can be a lot of mozzies around. And despite the shade sunscreen is paramount. Sadly there are no water play areas despite the suggestive name. Otherwise it would have gotten the...

Nice area. Beautiful views. BBQ not working properly. Was really dirty, could not clean it off. 1 of them not working. Water jammed in the water line. Not even an electricity line to put a fan on. Need to improve this to attract more people. Playground was good. Lots of parking area. Indigenous people asking for money and food. No money given, shared some food with them. They were not happy cause they did not get money. Not enough bin. Lots of flies buzzing around ruined our party. After dark, only 1 light in BBQ area not enough. City Council should look after this and...

it's OK in groups but I wouldn't exactly go alone. I was there with my toddler having a picnic and had to leave because of the many drunken locals around cussing and carrying on. within the 20 minutes we were there, 4 taxis dropped of a number of drunk locals. to each their own, but not the ideal environment for a toddler so we had to leave. other times I've been there with a group of other mums there were locals around but they were fine, kept to themselves and weren't being abusing etc. I just wouldn't recommend...

A park land area with some gardens and fountains. There were restroom but I didn't use them so can't comment on condition. The play ground was receiving some attention to the shade sails at the time and looked like most kids would be entertained for a while.

Got off the plane in Darwin and drove the kids straight to this playground (5 mins by car). They absolutely loved it, missus and I enjoyed a nice walk around the ponds and fountains. The place is lush and well maintained, playground was pretty cool too.

Nice area for a walk with playground and picnic facilities. Be mindful there may be intoxicated itinerants at times so take normal safety precautions. There are artificial ponds and the natural rapid creek alongside.
