Phở Rapid Creek — Restaurant in Northern Territory

I walked in and the intoxicating smells from the kitchen 'blew me away'. I agree with the previous reviewer about the steam buns, I've had lots of steam buns around Darwin, this one is the best, fragrant, hits every part of the pallet and is as soft as an Angel's pillow. The rare beef soup with meat balls had lovely fresh thin tasty cutlets which were sublimely matched with the hoisin sauce. Noodles were delicate, consistent and all loosely organised inside a sensationally seasoned broth. It was so good we ordered more!

I think that lovely smell was Shiso, the Japanese use it too to make Umeboshi....

What an absolute find this little restaurant is. The pork spring rolls are soooo good - filled with meat and cooked to crunchy perfection. The pork bun was fabulous - soft sweet bun filled with a perfect amount of pork and boiled egg and beautifully balanced. The Beef and cabbage salad has a large amount of tender beef - delicately flavoured salad - a delight. Oh and the Pho - again the beef was tender and not gristly like some others, the flavour was spot on and to get the broth as clear as what I had takes mastery. Thank you for one of the best vietnamese meals...

Just ordered a Pho today for the first time from here today. And I have had a lot if Pho in my day. And I can assure you that it will not be the last. Great job Pho Rapid Creek. order was fast and still piping hot on delivery. Absolutely awsome. Keep up the great work UPDATE 14.12.23 I don't know what happened,but don't waste your time or money at this place. This is not Vietnamese food. Expensive, non authentic,tastless rubbish. Very very disappointing as it used to be a great restaurant.
