Heritage Park — Attraction in Lismore

Was a good day had by my boys but I suggest non slip runner matting to be in the area water as the kids gets excited and run around as my son did and he fell flat on his face and got scraped all over. And the new playground is good but needs sail shades over it because the rubber matting in that area gets red-hot if ur not wearing any shoes and the kids go from the water straight onto the metal and plastic slide and make it all wet and slippery for the little ones. The train is great. Overall good experience I would just encourage the suggestions I have made and shade sails over the water area...

I love Heritage Park, my grandmother is from Lismore and some of my fondest early childhood memories are of running around this park on holiday visits, causing my 5 year old version of mayhem and worrying my mother to no end. It was fantastic 20 years ago and though it's not how I remember it the new additions are excellent. The new improvements are great but more can be done to make it better. The water park is extremely popular and will need to be expanded. There should be a shade sail over this area. The added bbq facility is also popular but a toilet block is a must. At present children are changed out in the open and mothers have to pack up the whole family to use the toilets in the visitors centre. Some new playground equipment was added but not much and I would suggest the post and rail fence received a bigger budget....
