I love the interesting art and crafting books as they fit very well with my business needs. It delights me when a trip to Lismore and a slow cruise through The Book Warehouse aisles results in me often finding exactly what I have been lusting after. If it isn't there then ordering with them is a pleasure. They are very quick to let me know that an order is in and I'm in the car zooming to town. The staff are readers and it shows. There's passion and a desire to share. I've dipped and dived into all sorts of authors and titles that I would have passed by, based on their conversations and recommendations. I continue to enthusiastically support The Book Warehouse as I appreciate they are in my town and also my spends help to employ wonderful locals. After years of our family supporting this business, I'm feeling disappointed. I have a nephew who loves trains, so yesterday, amongst 5 other book purchases, I grabbed a train book, with a button to press that makes a train noise. I was in a hurry, so didn't really give it a once over. "Trains = good" I thought. Once I got it home, and went to wrap it up, I found that the button no longer made a noise. Never mind, I'll just return it and get something else, I thought. Well... the women behind the counter were quite unhappy with this idea, despite the fact that the purchase was yesterday, and the product was defective. I ended up not purchasing anything else as they were so unwelcoming. Always love visiting this store and ordering books makes its swift and easy compared to online so its always my go to, however , when I went to pick up my order recently I was served by an older lady who interrupted me before I got three words out and spoke very impolite and loud at me about how she needs my last name for pick up.
