The Malanda Falls Visitor Centre is a fantastic stop and well worth a visit! Most information centres are interesting but the staff here were amazingly friendly, welcoming us with warm smiles and offering helpful local knowledge that really enhanced our trip. The centre itself is informative, with engaging displays about the region’s history, wildlife, and natural features, including volcanism in the area. I spoke to one of the staff at length about the local volcanoes and I could've stayed for hours. It’s a great starting point for exploring the surrounding area. The passion of the staff for the region shines through, and it made our visit unexpectedly enjoyable.

Very informative regarding the tablelands. You must visit and spend an hour or so. A shout out to the ladies there, very friendly and helpful. Thank you. I’ll certainly encourage people to visit the place plus it’s next to Malanda falls. If it wasn’t the wet season I’ll definitely go for a dip.

Great place to learn about the flora and fauna around. The staff is friendly and helpful. The fall is just next to it and there is a 35min return walk to do where you can see some tree kangaroos, which we spotted.

So impressed with the service of the ladies in the Visitor Centre when we visited on Sunday 24th July. Welcomed at the entrance and then taken around the Centre showing us the highlights. One of the best Info Centres on our travels around Australia and such a pleasure to chat to them. Beautifully laid out Centre with amazing information and interesting presentations about the area - in particular the Indigenous history which was moving and impressive. So engrossed were we interacting with this wealth of information that we were unaware that they were shutting at 2 pm being a Sunday. But the two wonderful ladies simply waited for us to finish saying they didn't want to interrupt us! Such a memorable experience seeing such...

Beautiful centre but unfortunately the staff is not well trained. The lady at the desk didn't know whether they had bird watching brochures or not and when she found the rack that had over 15 of them, didn't want to give more than 5. The purpose of our stop was to bring bird watching back home to give to the members of the various bird watching group we are with. Isn't the purpose of an information centre to spread information? Here they had a visitor who could have done this to 50 people to encourage them to come to this region and all they could give are 5 brochures?? She didn't even check at the back if they had more in stock... very...
