NO MUSIC = BEST PUB!

"The BIG Pub, Malanda, 'Aussie Icon'", and the food and service greatly reflect it.

Firstly, the restaurant was seperated from the bar, which is always a lot more peaceful and comfortable. The aesthetic "edwardian" feeling was enhanced by all the old photographs everywhere, which fascinated me and my history brain. The building was GORGEOUS. As someone who is usually nervous in restaraunts, the beautiful wooden structure made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The service was VERY QUICK, especially for a Saturday night! We spent a total of 30 minutes at the pub, including ordering and eating. A timespan that, in most pubs, we would be lucky to spend waiting for our food! And then the food! Some of the best pub, let alone RESTARAUNT meals that I and our family have ever had! I would have taken a picture, but it was devoured TOO QUICKLY!

Can I also say, the staff working on Saturday the 13th of April were exquiste! Amazing cooks, amazing serving girls and an excellent waiter (a chap with long hair) who was obviously very pleased to work there. Please commend them on our behalf!!

The atmosphere absolutely sucks here unless U want to die if U be too loud the loser with no life will say your ruining there zen and why have the claw machine in the pub area where the pokies are and not The food area where kids can play ole mate needs to get her act together here the English are just taking advantage of locals now The food portions are terrible the fish appalling they should be arrested U get half a fillet of fish cause they cut it in half never ever get the salad they drench it in mint sauce I would only get there pizza still even than it comes down to who cooks it's I don't recommend any of there food and ole mate with the green hair needs a attitude change fully worse food I have ever had here and they do nothing to make it right appalling and the pasta carbonara has about a cup of oil in it the roast looked ok if your 80years old if U go there for a dinner with your kids you will be disappointed everyone and said it was emperor which doesn't make sense what kind pretty sure they just use Spanish Mackerel and lie and about what fish it is why skin the fish for a piece of grilled fish where is the skin than everyone would know it's cheap...

Had dinner here and it was ok, nothing special. Could cook better at home. Great dining room though, bit dark in places.

I was there at a table of six, with a group of 2 adults and 3 kids and I ordered separately. Unfortunately my food came out first, 10 mins later two of the kids got theirs, then another 10 mins later the two adults and last kid got theirs. My dish would have been the most difficult to cook, however it was only a schnitzel chips and salad. The last three dishes to arrive were the most easiest to serve, Adult - salad & oysters natural; Adult 2 - baked fish salad and chips; child - oysters natural & garlic bread. Not sure why all dishes couldn't come out at the same time ish. Dining room wasn't busy with three tables seated, two already had their food.

Schnitzel was thin and salad bland with little seasoning on chips.

On the night there was arguing coming from the kitchen a lot of shouting by a female. Not great background noise while dining.

People, please dine here as a last resort, food is below average and it seems the back of house cannot work out how to send food for one table at the same time. cue...
