This place should be shut down! The cabins are riddled with black mould, cockroaches, ants and dodgy band aid repairs! My favorite dodgy repair has to be the miss matched extra wide architrave that is held on by liquid nails because the walls are so rotted that traditional nails simply don’t hold. It’s only a matter of time before someone falls through a rotting floor or suffers an asthma attack from breathing in mould.

I’m not sure what exactly the cleaners clean but it’s not much. After staying 200 plus nights here over the last 2 years I have NEVER ever not even one single time seen the cleaners remove the doona covers from the bunks to wash them, some smell like vomit and covered in stains. Another time there were lollies stuck to the spare blankets - also never cleaned and covered in cat or dog hair.

The cleaning staff were made of aware of this and still to this day I have never seen a blanket or doona cover removed for washing from any cabinā€¦šŸ¤®. Since most of the staff live on site maybe they should use these blankets and Doonas also for a true customer experience.

Beware the rooms are frequently broken into each night. We have witnessed a couple check into a cabin after midnight and as they walked in the front door, a person jumped out the back bedroom window, if you are looking for shared accommodation this place is for you!

In the event of a fire, you better hope the fire is not at entrance of your cabin as that’s the only escape since all the windows are screwed in on the inside so unwanted guests can’t break in to join you.

Recently a disgruntled guest didn’t return the key to cabin 107 when he checked out. The park DID NOT change the locks on this cabin and has prioritised cost saving over the safety and security of its future guests. If you ask the Manager she will rudely blame everything on head office and how they don’t want to spend any money on the park.

The Manager Priscilla yells profanity like a fish wife from the back office and has NEVER once returned a single phone call, it’s obviously not her business and treats it as such. I can’t believe that Discovery Parks chooses this rude woman to represent their brand and abuse its paying customers. How embarrassing!

The back office smells like the local pound, kitty litter need to be changed more frequently and the smells of animal urine stings your eyes. The Manager’s 4 plus cats sleep all over the clean linen out the back which is used on the beds in the cabins. If you have allergies to cats it’s safer to avoid this place completely. 🐱

The after hours service is just a phone number as they will NOT call the police in an emergency. They refused to call police for two hours after a woman was running around the park with a knife during an altercation with her partner 🤪. This is one of many serious safety concerns reported that the park would rather just not have to deal with! Lock up everything, you can’t even trust the staff in this park.

Up next: The copy paste response from the park about how sorry they missed the mark...

This company needs to step up and start answering phones and responding to potential customers. I spent days, actually, trying to have someone answer the phone regarding my inquiry about site availability. My husband and I are caravaning all around the continent of Australia and needed to pick up our friend who is flying into Melbourne to meet us. We had to fight freeway congestion for 2 hours, with caravan in tow, to get to this caravan park, which was the only one close to the airport that accepts pets. We finally make it to the park, driving through a lightning and thunderstorm, only to have them tell us they had no space for us. I could have found that out days before if someone, anyone there had bothered to answer the phone. I also tried booking on their online website, but it didn't respond to my dates , nothing telling me they were fully booked. I even left an email request for our required dates, but again, no response. When talking with one of the two people seated behind the reception desk, trying to appear busy, I kept my composure and told them that someone should check out the phone system that is automatically answering and directing calls. I spent 20 minutes on 3 separate occasions trying to get through to someone who could help me. No one answered any of my calls. Instead I was stuck in a loop of repeated directions. When I told the reception people this they just smuggly looked away with no hint of trying to appease my frustration. That was at around 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 23rd. If this company plans to stay in business it may be a great idea to re-train the reception staff in ways to address potential customer's concerns so that other clients like myself don't feel the need to write such negative reviews. Discovery Parks really need to step up to the next best level and respond to clients inquiries in a much more effective manner. This experience with them this day makes this client feel like she will never try booking with...

We have stayed twice at this place 6 months apart and both times my car was broken into and had property stolen from our site while sleeping. This area is not where you want to take your kids, the pool was full on a 35 degree day and a large rowdy group of people drinking in the pool swearing and inappropriate conversations for young kids. The pool is situated outside the office and not once did any staff visit the pool area despite the loud crowd and alcohol cans/bottles everywhere. When we checked out the staff said they would check the security cameras but never responded back to me as promised. The manager didn’t even come out from the back instead the young girl went back and forth to speak to her relaying her responses- if they cared she would have come out and spoken to me directly. She was ā€œunavailable or in a meetingā€ several times I tried to call the next day. ||||Lock everything up and be vigilant if you must stay here. I strongly advise you to pay the extra to stay elsewhere like the Big 4 at Coburg where the staff care, property is well maintained and the owners invest money back into the park. It will cost you more in the end to repair the damage to your vehicle and replace your stolen property. ||||Look around the park there aren't many CCTV cameras especially the side near the ensuite van sites and judging by the lack of enthusiasm shown by the staff to check them or the lack of follow up from the manager I’d say they aren’t even operational||||Research the area people, don’t take my word for it - if you don’t mind the soothing sounds of the sirens and helicopters chasing stolen cars all night while you sleep then I would find somewhere else or better still keep driving and don’t stop in Braybrook, not even for fuel!||||Check out the back fence where the local junkies enter/exit with your stuff each night. FYI - these same holes were there 6 months ago. NO...

We stayed with our motorhome. Plus: The park was clean and the sides are good. The bus stop was in short walking distance. Con: - The nights were not as silent as we hoped, the street and motorcycles, as well as our neighbors (I think longtime stayers) were noisy also at 3 am. The neighbors were listening to techno music and were coming and leaving with their cars in the middle of the night. -Kids from the neighbors were running over our side and thereby pulled our electricity cable out -the recreational room was full of coin machines -the bus takes an hour to the CBD and if there is traffic even longer -the park is in my opinion not in the best suburb of Melbourne For visiting Melbourne it was a nice campground for us if there are better options, I don’t know.

Cabins were well appointed and relatively clean on arrival. The toilet bin hadn't been emptied, which was a bit gross. The office staff were friendly enough, but I stayed for an extended time & found I needed to follow up with a second call whenever I had a question. The split system remote in the lounge area wasn't the correct one, with no 'heat' ability. This was removed on my 2nd night with the promise of a replacement the next day, however I spent 2 weeks controlling both split systems with just the one, not as easy as it sounds! The wifi is atrocious! TV kept pixellating and dropping out to a black screen, and up/downloading by phone was painfully slow and very frustrating. Housekeeping staff were friendly & obliging.

The service personnel had already finished work by the time of arrival, Fortunately, they answered the phone, After obtaining the password, I was able to open the mailbox and retrieve the key. There is gate control outside the park, I need to get the key first before driving the car inside, Inserting the key into the gate will open it. The room is quite spacious, The facilities inside are well-equipped and clean, The visitors in the park are well-behaved and quiet, Providing a good quality of sleep. I left around 7 a.m. in the morning, Before leaving, I need to place the trash in the bin outside, Since the staff hadn't started working, I simply left the key in the mailbox. It was a fantastic accommodation experience.
