La Porchetta Sunshine — Restaurant in Melbourne

Hats off to Prakash and Ruby, the Front of House staff, for not freaking out and calling the police as soon as I showed up at La Porchetta, Sunshine, last night, doning a black full head&face mask, black hoodie, black pants, boots and black gloves, looking like I was there to rob the joint. Despite my attire and the fact that it was just past 9pm, (nearly closing time) Prakash gave me a very warm welcome and took my order, before Ruby pleasantly showed me to my table. The meal was cooked well and cooked fresh, I wasn't rushed nor bothered by any staff, and was treated very warmly despite finishing 10mins after closing time. I just had to make a point of the outstanding service I received last night, because I'm sure many people have experienced how rude and pushy some establishments can get when it nears or surpasses closing time. I've personally experienced many places who would not let me in to order take-away, let alone, dine.

Prakash, Ruby & team - thank you for your 5 star service last night. Having finished work late and being too tired and lazy to cook, I greatly appreciate you guys for staying back and serving me.

I’ve been living in Melbourne for over 10 years now, 8 of those years in west Melbourne and I’ve only recently had the pleasure of eating at La Porchetta in Sunshine.

First of all, the food was absolutely beautiful!! My first visit I tried the 300 gram rib eye steak, med rare with mushroom sauce, chips and salad. I was truly blown away. The steak was cooked to perfection and the mushroom sauce so good, I wanted a jug of it to take home myself.

But the thing that really stood out to me and my family above everything else, even the outstanding food, was the service.

Kelly is an absolute gem. She really is amazing at her job. She instantly makes you feel welcome and comfortable from the time you walk in the door. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, and does so with a smile.

Chris is outstanding. He couldn’t do enough for us, right to the very end. He’s really polite and no request was too much. We were made to feel made right at home.

I can’t recommend this place enough if you want exceptional service with a smile and great food for the family. That’s exactly what...

Will never get home delivery from them again last night we ordered 3 meals for delivery was told will be about 50 min ok fine even received a call to say it just left for delivery after 45min ok great but when it arrived we were missing the salad and two of the meals and the gravy was cold so rang them to ask about the salad and to say the meals were cold the guy on the phone was no help trying to explain what happened but he was to Bizzy with worrying about the customers in store kept putting me on hold and then said it will take over half hour for them to deliver the salad ..he was going to give credit for the salad but asked me to hold on again this time he just put the phone down not on hold I could here him talking to customers so 15 min later I just hung up as my meal was real cold now and had to microwave it was not happy at all ....will never get it again we should have brought Chinese it comes in 10 min and is...
