Hansen Reserve — Attraction in Melbourne

Learning bike track is fantastic for little ones and also for scooter riders and new skateboarders. The gravel part over the bridge is the only oddity as its constantly covered in gravel that jams scooters and skateboard wheels and makes them crash. The new park addition is also very welcomed, however, some of the new equipment is questionable. The tower is too high and the access points are too advanced/dangerous for most 1-7 year olds which is a big elimination of its audience. The water feature is too messy and pointless and the water button too hard to use. The leaver digger is too far from the sand and too heavy for the interested children to use without injuring themselves when it throws them forwards over it as the scooping completes. Most of the new park infrastructure around the inner west now seems to be put in by people without kids just ticking boxes. Looks nice, but is either not fit for age and purpose or too dangerous. This is North footscrays home ground it's in Tottenham and is south west of west footscrays ground on Essex Street in West footscray.... I don't know what else to say. It's got grass and places to kick balls at poles. You and your friends can complete to kick balls at poles for little to absolutely no reward or recognition...

Hansen reserve is great, its a big park that has something for everyone, from a water/sandpit to a massive playground to a massive oval its got everything and there's so much to do there. The facilities are great with good toilets and a decent sized parking lot, there are tables, babecues, water fountains and a little bike track.
