This memorial playground is located on prominent Beaconsfield Parade in Albert Park, right on the Albert Park foreshore so as well as having a variety of kids playgound equipment, including slides, swings, play sand and water fountains, it offers great waterfront views.
Also, as well as being well maintained, unlike other nearby playgrounds such as the Maritime Cove Community Park playground and the Westport Reserve Playground in Port Melbourne, the beauty of the Plum Garland playground is that it is fully fenced and has both shade sails and large shade umbrellas over it which is essential to protect young kids playing in the playground on hot sunny days. It also has a drinking fountain, picnic table, bench seats and public toilets and kiosk serving ice-cream just 100 meters or a 5 minutes walk away at the South Melbourne Life Saving Club.
