Read moreWe have been visiting this beautiful temple on many occasions but never had an insulting experience like this evening. It was my dad’s birthday and we went to this temple. It was a quiet evening with not many devotees at all. However, though priests were present right there, they were busy chatting about personal matters and did not even bother to do Aarti or offer theertham or prasadam. There was a tray with a diya and some flowers. When I picked up a couple of flowers, one of the priests rudely asked me to put the flowers down. And started lecturing me that these flowers are fresh and unused. (God knows what he means) And that I should ask the priests going forward if they are unused or not before touching them. We were there for a special occasion and this incident totally depressed all of us. Honestly, felt like walking out of the temple right away. The other priest who was with this rude priest felt bad for the way his colleague behaved and spoke to us kindly before we left which gave a bit of a better feeling. Unfortunately do not know the names of both the priests. A temple is meant to be a place of mental peace and solace and the Priest should be the preacher but it turns out that here the priests are just not bothered to do their duties and think too highly of themselves. I wish the management lectured the priests to perform their duties which they seem to...
