Just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to Daniel at the information desk at Airport West Shopping Centre. I realised while I was shopping that I didn't have my mobile phone with me. So I went back to my car thinking it was there, I looked all over but couldn't find it. The last place I remembered having it was at work, but how can I call them to check if it's still there?? I didn't know what to do, who to ask for help to make a call....then I wondered if there were public phones around still? Something told me...go to the information desk and ask. So I walked over and there was a lovely young man at the desk. I asked if there was a public phone in shopping centre, he said "no there aren't any". My heart sank. Now I went into panic mode. He asked me if I needed to make a call? I said yes and explained what had happened. He said to "no problem, I can make a call for you". I said "oh really!!! Omg THANK YOU!" He said it was no problem at all and asked for the number. I gave him my office mobile nbr, and he made the call. I spoke to my colleague and luckily my mobile was there (locked in my drawer)! I got off the phone and thanked him because he was very kind to do that for me. He said it was no problem. I walked back to my car thinking, words just aren't enough I needed to do something more this guy! So after I drove back to my work to pick up my phone, I stopped at the supermarket and bought him a small token of appreciation in the form of a block of chocolate. I walked back to the information desk but the young guy was not there. I asked the lovely lady where is the guy who was here just before? She said oh yes Daniel, he's gone upstairs, can I help you with something? I proceeded to explain what happened to me and how he had very kindly offered to make this call for me. I just wanted to let him know I got my phone back. And I also wanted to give him this small gift as a thank you. She said that Daniel loves chocolate and he will be very happy to hear you found your phone. I walked away feeling a mix of emotions of gratitude, relief, kindness but most of all a sense of...it was meant to be that I spoke that guy and HE was the one to help me, because my brother's name is also Daniel! So...
Read moreThis review is regarding the embroidery shop Alterations Now - This experience was horrible from initial contact. The man behind the counter was very disinterested in understanding our requirements or assisting us receive the best end product possible. Good old customer service was missing in a big way! My mother and I spent a great deal of time (45 minutes!)with the man establishing font, size and locations of the embroidery. As this is a wedding present being sent internationally we assumed being specific and setting expectations upfront would have given us a fantastic end product. Throughout the process we showed the product for embroidery, gave a description of what we desired (even took the wedding invitation to show similar font) and requested suggestions (being his field of expertise), to which he provided no assistance. On pick up, the end product was awful.....nothing like we had requested, some font completely illegible, to which the man's response was "you're just too picky". For the time and money ($80) invested in this we are severely disappointed and suggest to potential customers if they want a good end product do not go to Alterations Now at...
Read moreThe mall is not so big for roaming around but best for a quick shop for anything you need. The best thing I like is that It is virtually all on the ground floor, so you dont have to buggerize around with escalators and lifts. Westfield Airport West is not a megamall like Highpoint but it is good for most things. Apart from speciality shops, the mall hosts Kmart, Target, best and Less, Harris Skarfe, JB Hi Fi, Ozmosis, Aldi, Woolies, Coles etc. Despite the lockdown, Westfield Airport West remains busy as its very convenient for transport. The updated timings are: The shopping centre is the terminus for the 59 tram, and it is a bus interchange. Parking is rarely a problem. Its well managed and it is always clean. Tenancy vacancies are rare. Apart from Coles and Woolworths, there is a large fruit shop, with a large range of fruits and vegetables at affordable prices. This mid-sized shopping centre serves its local area satisfactorily and always seems to be busy. By the way. the food court has a variety of cuisines, all at inexpensive prices. One is from the Heaps of famous brands & outlets, cinemas, beauty &...
