5 star for the amazing nature walking paths. The kids play area could have more space, there is more room to add a family space, I would say heaps of room if the toilets were removed.
Dogs love it as much as humans and it’s a friendly community.
Minus -5 star for a council that can’t put dog poo bins at the entry/exit points of the park like nearly every other council in Victoria (yep not just Melbourne… Victoria). It seems to be a common theme for Maroondah Council to be anti bins but crazy for signs to pick up the poo ‘and put it where???’. We pick it up but this anti bin BS is annoying.    Read moreA nice little area of bushland with walk tracks lying behind the local houses (park and enter at Braidwood Ave; don't trust the GPS, we could not see a path entry from street parking near the playground) The park could use some love; signs and general upkeep were quite neglected. Dogs ok on leash. We enjoyed the trees, shrubs and flowers, saw parrots and heard kookaburras. Wetland area was dry but I guess that's down to the weather. It's not a place for a long walk, there's a small loop inside a larger loop, but you can walk the dog and enjoy a slice of the bush; a little playground and a picnic...

Roughly half my lifetime ago, while completing a degree in biological sciences, I designed the Sensory Trail for the Council. I then used it to teach local school groups about the ecological values of the reserve.
