Yarra Bend Park — Attraction in Melbourne

Lovely park to take children for a walk or to have a snack at Studley Park Boathouse over Kane's Bridge or Fairfield Boathouse close to Heidelberg Road end of the park. There's major works taking place on Thomas Embling Hospital (for the Criminally Insane) on Yarra Bend Road. Massive cranes, heaps of construction workers and their vehicles everywhere, but persevere and drive to Kane's Bridge. It's peaceful and serene. Cafe has had a facelift and new outdoor dining area looks great. Upstairs the old 'Beat's Restaurant' has been modernised and looks amazing. Food is good too. We walked the 'Bush Circuit ' with ourvlittle folk and had ice creams from the retro caravan which were yummy. I've been walking dogs at Yarra Bend Park for 30 years (not the same digs obviously) and I always think how fortunate we are in inner suburban Melbourne to have such a beautiful park to enjoy so...
