We went here back in 2017. Didn’t think to leave a review. So better late than never. It was shut when we got there but a phone number was there to ring. The gentleman was working at the air strip I think. He turned up and opened up for us. What a great place packed with history and the gentleman was full of knowledge. He didn’t rush us and answered heaps of questions. For a museum not in a major city this place bowled myself and wife over.    Read moreI found that the Merredin Military Museum was well worth the drive out from Perth and so did my 10 yo son. It was refreshing NOT to see ""Keep off" or "Don't touch" signs everywhere. How big was the smile on my son's face when he was ""allowed"" to hold a Thompson machine Gun?? I am glad to see that they have secured the Iroquois helicopter and look forward to coming back again.

The volunteers have done a lot of research, in conjunction with Defence force help. Well worth it. Don't forget your reading glasses! Not an Australian, but I learned quite a bit on Australian WWII campaign. Also artifacts and stories on WWI, Vietnam etc. Really, really good. I would definitely visit again, $10...
