At the beginning of November 2022 my husband and I (tourists from Germany) booked a snorkelling tour to the Great Barrier Reef in the „Mission Beach VC“ and paid for it right away in cash. We were intended to go with Mission Beach Dive.
The money went to Tropical Coast Tourism.
The tour was canceled.
We are still fighting to to get our money back. Today is December 28. The EO in charge, Patrick Bluett from Cassowary Coast Tourism is telling us until this very day, that Bendigo Bank in Mission Beach (their business bank) had so far no possibilities to do international money transfers. And by the way, the bank is not opening until 3rd of January. (The bank‘s website says something different) But in a few more weeks or so it could work out, according to Mr. Bluett.

They were so lovely in there, turned on the cassowary display and chatted. My parents bought my daughter a cassowary shoe charm. She loved it. However lost the shoe with the charm on it last month. Read moreWanted to book a reef tour and waited until the couple in front of us was served; each of the 2 centre assistants had one couple of tourists with them. We looked at all the things on offer, got a local map, waited and waited; and waited some more. No acknowledgment from anybody. The helpful advice given to one couple in the meantime, had advanced now to bicycle riding on Magnetic Island.
