Our recent visit was unfortunately quite disappointing. While the lady and young man serving us were friendly and polite, the service was extremely slow. It took between 20–30 minutes just to receive drinks for our table of nine—and we hadn’t even ordered cocktails.
The food arrived about 30 minutes later. The kids’ meals were fine and reasonably portioned, but the adult meals were a letdown. Portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price, and while the quality was acceptable, it certainly didn’t justify the cost.
For example, one of our orders—the tiger prawns—consisted of just five prawns in a sauce, with no sides included. To make it a proper meal, we had to order plain rice separately, bringing the total to around $55. Another dish, the red emperor, was tiny and came with no sides at all—yet it cost $58.
It’s important to note that all sides are charged separately, which quickly adds up.
There was no manager on duty (Sunday lunch), so while our feedback was received by staff, there was no one present who could address it meaningfully or escalate it to the owners. It’s hard to understand why a high-end restaurant would operate without managerial support.
Unless you’re happy to pay premium prices for slow service and small portions, I’d recommend looking elsewhere for better value and a more satisfying experience. The owners should really reconsider the pricing structure here and...
Read moreWent in for lunch (at 12pm) for my boyfriends birthday. It's a beautiful day and plenty is in a beautiful spot. We were not offered any water. On a 30°+ day I believe it was 34 or 35 and felt like 40. We had to ask for water. We were not offered drinks or a menu for at least 30 minutes. When we did finally get menus we were told another 10 minutes later that nearly the whole menu was not available and they were only serving from the breakfast menu at nearly 1pm in a restaurant that opens at 11:30am... We finally get to order it's been nearly an hour since we sat down. The food comes out surprisingly quick. Well its not surprising really considering all that was on the plate was a childs serve of chips and half a fillet of fish. You get more from the kids menu in other places in town. That's not to mention we payed $32 for a meal that wouldn't have satisfied many kids. I still hadnt gotten a drink. I had to again after an hour or more had passed go up and was immediately given a drink that was wrong (all I wanted was a vodka lime and soda). And was told this was my drink...
The service was so poor and the food although tasted fine (it's nothing special) is wildly overpriced.
If you want to get treated like crap and ripped off at the same time i would 10/10...
Read morePLENTY of time, patience and $$ required to dine here. Avoid. One positive, the young wait staff were learning but were super friendly, polite and excellent, if not for them I would have given zero stars. No menus just 1 iPad to read the menu off. Not hard to print menus. We waited 2 hours for food and only got it then because 2 tables who arrived before us walked out without their food. One being a table of 7 who were served crab they didn't order which was then given to another table free and then they were served 1 steak and no other meals were ready, understandably they all walked out. After 2 hours, we received a dozen shriveled up "Kilpatrick oysters $50" they looked disgusting however we were so starving we ate them. Next was half an avocado smothered in mayo and some prawn pieces, not what I'd call a $25 "prawn salad". Lastly the $40 coral trout dish, very shy on the fish with some rice underneath. Feedback given to manager who was very arrogant and only offered excuses. Reading the reviews now I can see no improvements are being made after many similar complaints. Lots of talking no actions. Would not recommend, will not be returning. PLENTY will join the long list of come and go restaurants that frequent...
