Skydive Mission Beach — Attraction in Mission Beach

Hands down the best experience I had during my QLD trip!

I’m usually not a person to writes reviews but the fantastic experience at Mission Beach made me want to share this with anyone thinking about booking.

The booking includes a transfer from Cairns city, Mauve the bus driver (sorry if I spelt it wrong!) was friendly and prompt and you also get a chance to get to know other people on your trip! When we arrived, we had to wait for the weather to clear earlier in the day, but the receptionist, Cailey, kept us up to date and it also gave us time to explore the local shops and cafes.

Not only do you get to dive at a beautiful location, with a view of the RAINFOREST, REEF AND SHORE but it’s also one of the only places in Australia that offers a beach landing!

Thank you to all the crew - the team is professional, friendly and went above and beyond to make it a memorable first dive! Shoutout to Kiwi, my instructor, who is super experienced, made sure I was okay and had an endless supply of dad jokes.

If you buy the video package please consider that they can screw things up completely and miss critical parts of the freefall and not offer you a partial refund. My expectations on the video was high since I bought the ultimate package for a hefty amount of the total dive close to AUD 700 in order to get a video on par with how they market things online for my first ever skydive that I wanted to keep as a memory. The mission beach site did not even offer me a partial refund for the most important seconds they missed on the freefall, i.e. when jumping off the airplane and the following seconds to that.

Also need to say that they market online that they offer a free merchandise item as part of the package, which was something they said to me that they don’t offer whilst on site.. A bit unprofessional to have stale things like that online for your customers and don’t think about the badwill some...

An absolutely amazing experience! It was my second skydive and this one took the cake for the most spectacular views. We hit a bit of a hiccup the day before: as we were 2 hours away we booked for an 11am jump but the evening before we were told via email we'd jump at 8am, which would have been fine if we had been told a little earlier so we could plan our day and maybe via phone, since the emails went into our spam folder and we could have easily missed the change of time . That being said, on the day the staff was super friendly, my skydiving instructor Mike was very chatty and he made me feel at ease with everything. I cannot even describe the jump itself, it was overall amazing.
