This would be one of the best Council Parks in Australia. Lovely happy grounds staff who obviously take pride in their jobs. This place is huge. Accessible by vehicle with sealed roads. Well kept lawns and gardens. Excellent facilities. Beautiful gardens.🥀🌷🌹 Sporting fields are beautifully maintained and burr free. Netball courts are amazing. Perfect place for birthday parties or family get togethers all around the park.

Inclusive Maitland Pools outdoors and indoor heated pools/ massive complex with early morning swimming. Swimming lessons and canteen open to the public for a quick lunch. Brilliant water fun park in grounds you can book for parties.

Maitland Park Bowls club that you may book for family bowls and parties. Have lunch or dinner at the bistro. Meals are excellent. And staff friendly and lovely. Excellent entertainment.

Great place to walk the dogs around the park. Excellent paths to walk on or go rollerskating/ skateboarding. Playground is exceptional with loads of different activities including a flying fox for toddlers and adults. Cute little bike track for toddlers. The south end boasts a great crocquet club. Amenities are immaculate with a large disabled entry. Bbqs are gas and free with covered seating.

So many seasonal sports to watch on the weekends. Cricket, soccer, football, netball hockey, etc........ And practice weeknights.

A lot of memorials dedicated to people from the past who's love of this park was evident in these dedications.

ANZAC Cenotaph and war memorials are beautiful with stunning freedom statue enclosed in a lovely kept garden. The memorials around the park are beautiful. From Boer War to WW2.

Come and see the hilarious antics of the lone neurotic resident guinea fowl and the cute possums. Well done Maitland Council Beautiful. Excellent game of Soccer...

I took my 4 grandchildren there to play but it is a pretty boring playground by today's standard. I have suggested that Maitland should have a playground like the one at Speers Point only better (including an out of this world skatepark) that park was fantastic when first built but we are going into 2018 and designers have had enough time to get the safety issues worked out and should be able give today's kids a fun , adventurous, gross - motor workout without compromising on safety. A playground like that would have kids begging their parents to bring them to Maitland and with that comes retail spending which would hopefully create more jobs as well. Come on Maitland Council give parents and grandparents a fun place to take the kids where we don't have to pay to enter,...

Visited recently with my sister and niece. We walked a loop of the park, walking track was excellent, nice and wide so great with the pram, flat all the way. The path takes you past an outdoor gym if that's your thing. After our walk we visited the kids play area, everything was well maintained with heaps of space and different fixed activities for the kids to do. My niece (aged 1.5) especially enjoyed the slide and wooden bridge but mostly the musical instruments. The children's play area is gated and has different zones. Outside this area is a scooter/bike track and access to Maitland indoor/outdoor pool. The park itself is well maintained the lawns and gardens looked incredible. Plenty of beautiful trees that offer great shaded...

A park that had been servicing Maitland for over a century with playground that includes a flying fox, Batman swing, music and educational fixtures, a bike track, wheelchair friendly swing, netball courts, soccer fields, cricket pitch, covered areas, rotunda, large wooden grandstand, war memorial and more. It is home to the largest trees in the area and had a pigeon population to chase as well. It is only a stones throw from the train station, next to the local pool and an enjoyable spot for many family occasions or get togethers. l

Well maintained gardens with excellent facilities which includes large playgrounds, multiple picnic and bbq areas, mock traffic paths for kids bike etc. All in very close proximity to swimming pool, netball court, cricket and lawn bowl fields. All in all a great place to spend the day with friends and family.
