Bad food and bad drinks made a bad time :(

Ordered our food at 730, and it didn't arrive until after 9. You know when you're very hungry so anything tastes like the best thing you've ever had? Ours was still bad! One person had that sick feeling you get after eating KFC, except while they were eating the beef burger (two patties wrapped in bacon with no lettuce, tomato or onion - more of a meat sandwich than a burger)! Another had the trio of tacos, and decided not to eat the third one. Another person had the schnitzel, but it was so tough they also decided not to eat.

The bar was set up poorly as well. They have many spirits and liqueurs, however are lacking in mixers. We ordered some different drinks, and barmen kept asking us for the recipes D: I know shandies aren't the most popular drink, but a gin & tonic has the recipe in the name!

While looking for the bathroom I asked another bloke who was on the same mission. The waitress told him it was at the back of the bar. We eventually found it.... at the front of the bar. Was it her first day?

We also thought the music was a bit weird - playing Yakity Yak. Probably need a new CD for their stereo we thought. But as we were leaving it turned out a DJ was playing a set...

Best bar in Maitland and my favourite place to go for a fun night out, especially on live music nights (Friday and Saturday). Awesome selection of craft beers, cocktails, wine and whiskey (complete with a special whiskey room to enjoy it in!). The taps rotate regularly so there’s always something new to try, and the beer fridge has a big range of interesting options. Food is awesome- pork belly bites were out of this world- and the chef is fantastic with working around dietary restrictions. In addition to all the other reasons you should go, the bar staff are so fun and friendly, it’s guaranteed you’ll have...

THIS IS MY NEW FAVOURITE SPOT WISH I NEW ABOUT IT EARLIER!! Greeted by lovely tahnee and her amazing customer service let me try a beer wasn’t sure about… and I loved it! Got to meet Ben the owner and you can tell the man loves his business!! The food is next to die for all the fresh and full of flavour and the so reasonably priced!! I’d much come here than any where else!! I really love the atmosphere great place to come with the mates or family! Truly glad I came and tried here!
