Ordered coffees for adults & hot chocolates for children. Asked for the HCs to be served warm, not hot, as they were for small children. Three of the four were perfect but the fourth one was so hot that I burnt myself when I picked the cup up to check the temperature. I took a sip & got an actual blister on my lip from the heat. When I approached the counter to let them know what happened the girl stared at me blankly. I asked for cold milk to cool it down & an extra cup to pour some off the top to make room for the cold milk. Another blank stare. I am unsure if it was her first day or if someone switched her off at the wall. Eventually I managed to make her understand what I needed & was provided with same after about 10 minutes of waiting, by which time the HC was STILL far too hot to drink.
This is not the first disappointing visit we have had here but it will certainly be the last. I am tired of giving them more chances than they are worth for overpriced food & drinks & terrible service. The location is lovely, but we will be taking our post gallery business elsewhere going forward. There is far too much competition in Maitland now for them to be this bad & do absolutely...

Packed to capacity at lunch with about a 20 minute queue wait. The chef (I assume the big guy with the bushy beard is the chef) was so overworked he was literally drenched with sweat, which is not really what you want to see in a food service place, however, he still seemed to be in his element. Obviously being so busy meant a lot of people being served at once. Which is normally acceptable but coupled with the 20 minute wait time it became a little frustrating. While seraphim can't be blamed for the weather, outdoor seating could possibly be better organised so that the seats don't burn when you sit on them and customers don't feel obligated to move their own furniture into shaded areas. The food was, as usual, outstanding leaving me with nothing but good things to say and, on its own merits, mean we will be returning. Probably sooner...
Read moreIt's great, but book ahead if possible because they always get busy. Everytime I've been here, they've always nailed every element on the table, from the drinks to each ingredient in every dish. I've never had a bad (or average) experience here. This is a big part of the reason it's always busy. They nail every dish and the food is fresh, colourful, delicious and looks good too! I've had food here three times and always picked something new. It's never disappointed. The menu is not so large as to be daunting, but it's varied enough to offer something for anyone. Even though I've never had an issue, I get the feeling that the staff would be happy to resolve any complaint, because they were ready to receive feedback when I went to the service counter. Though, they seemed surprised when I complimented them (we need to be nicer as a...
