Doggy Beach — Attraction in Noosa Heads

This place is a wonderful place to take your pooch (and yourself) for a dip in the beautiful Noosa estuary. The downside is that it is usually packed, even on weekdays, and when the tide is in there is very little beach. If you are looking for a nice offleash place to walk the dog nearby, then Marcus beach at Peregian is the best option, there is a nice long off leash stretch there - and the dog walkers are much more spaced out. The other downside to dog beach is that illegal overnight campers sometimes leave toilet paper on the grass and who knows what greater evil...

Fantastic dog beach with crystal clear waters and a very sheltered water area for dogs to go for a swim. Dogs are allowed off leash quite close to the beach, which is a reasonably short walk from the car park. The car park is nestled towards the end of the road, past Noosa Woods, and can get quite full during peak times. Alternate parking is available nearer the town area, although the walk is about 5-10 minutes to the beach. Love it there but been awhile water not blue like used to be because Noosa shire council will not dredge it so more flow and stop erosion . I had fun today just peaceful water was beautiful on warm day love swimming there . but sad to see trees down foot path down Noosa council dredge the dog beach so everyone can appreciate the beauty peace of it not all of us can afford boats .
