Lovely beach with lots of parking, there is a sauna, Polar Bears Club house, changerooms and showers. Lots of parking and safe areas to lock your bike. Coast offers food and drinks, can get very busy with cars and weddings though. In the arvo, when the sea breeze Freo Doctor cracks in, wingfoilers will come out and play. Great place for viewing the WA sunset, a dog beach is located at the Northern end of Leighton not Port Beach, so it's a good 1km walk. Watch out for Rangers if you walk your dog in the non dog area. The Dog beach is very long going all the way to the groyne at Cottesloe, so best to start at North Leighton near the overpass bridge as it gets very hot quickly and there's no water after Leighton Beach until you get to "Steps", and worse, no toilets either until you get to Cottesloe. Plenty of bins and bags from the Dog Beach onwards heading north. But beautiful stretch of WA coastline. Please note that no camping or overnight sleeping is allowed. Stay at a designated caravan park much safer. Facilities get locked up and there have been lots of breakins of cars and campervans. Rangers patrol at night to move...

A popular location on the outskirts of the centre of the town of Fremantle. A nice set-up with reasonable changeroom & bathroom facilities ... the beach is beautiful, great for little kids and for the 'big kids' who like flatter water ... Parking can be a challenge in a warm day and weekend, be patient, you'll find one, but may have a little walk. Just around the corner is Rous Head, so you can check out all the wharf activities and massive ships coming, berthing and heading back out ... It's...

Be careful if swimming in the far southern end where the groins are, there are largish rocks submerged which you can't see when sand is stirred up by swell and there are rocks some the size of soccer balls that get picked up by waves crashing on the shoreline and smash into your ankles. Beautiful on a clear flat day so you can see the bottom but be cautious...

Port Beach has undergone some amazing works which has made it more accessible to relax on. Not too busy away from the restaurant and for the most part people here are usually pretty respectful of each other. Favourite spot to go sit at the beach and eat fish n chips from Redfish in attadale!

Omg this beach is just delicious! Spent a lovely while here in the water and then relaxing on the beach 🏖️ Love the clear Indian Ocean and the lack of dogs and noisy watercraft. No real facilities though so if you need a toilet or anything else you will have to drive.
