Bill Sohier Park is a centerpiece of the community - it has been there for me through good times and the bad. If it's okay with you, I'll start with the bad.
Last summer I stood at the non-strikers end (University end) and watched my batting partner, best friend and mentor swing so hard at a full ball outside off stump that he injured his sciatica. It's an injury that plagues him till this day, however, I'm happy to report that he is on the mend.
Now we move to the good - winning premierships, the celebrations and what 'ave you - I don't want to go into how much, but, she was up there.

Read moreWell maintained park with ample for the kids to do, flying foxes, climbing nets, swings, etc. No BarBQ, but lots of parking and 4 clean tables under cover, one of which has space for a wheelchair to fit - very accessible!
