So it was Sunday 12th of November 2023, The Big Move day from the rat race that is Sydney.
So around the preconceived perception of allocated eating times, I thought I'd take a walk, explore the new area and see what's on offer in terms of culinary delights 😊
So being a Sunday in Ourimbah, only 2 food outlets were open in the local shopping village, the other one we won't mention, as their mannerisms and lack of professional conduct was enough to steer me away 🤔
Lucky they did as it landed me up at "Mohr" and what a joyful and positive experience this was.
I was greeted by the lovely couple that run this beautiful little establishment. They were kind, welcoming, humble beautiful people. The place is filled with vibrant colours and a happy and peaceful atmosphere ✨️
The food was amazing, A tandoori wrap was on the menu for me that day, as I chose to eat and run 🏃♂️ 😋
And to add icing to an already enjoyable experience, I traded in the soft drink by offerings of management to upgrade to a mango last free of charge in celebration of Diwali 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
So I'd encourage you to go check it this little gold mine in Ourimbah and not only experience beautiful authentic cuisine, however most importantly be met with brilliant service and to be made feeling your at your own table 😊
Thanks "Mohr" for a brilliant start to my new found path back on the Central...
Read moreWe came to buy some books for kid and on the way back, my wife just randomly picked up this place and the restaurant really surprised us. Highly recommended. Food must be delicious, chef especially adjusted the taste for my kid to taste more friendly. The starter we ordered was bhaji, deep fried with strong seasoning but tasted very good. The mains were fish and beef, we couldn’t eat them all so we packed and took back home. Naans were amazing too, we ordered 3 types, cheese, garlic cheese and another one that chef specially recommended, a kind of sweet one, unfortunately I forgot the name. More importantly, chef told me that all foods are prepared by themselves and no artificial cooking sources or seasonings added. These days we are unable to avoid these artificial things but I trust the chef tried as hard as he can. This place is a family owned business, the husband is chef and wife provides service. I can see from their eyes that they are nice people and want to cook the meals as good as possible. The only disadvantage is this place is 1hour drive from Sydney, but I will be...
Read moreI didn't want to be rude and give low stars because it might just come down to preference. But my husband and I are huge fans of butter chicken and garlic and cheese naans. This is first time ordering, Unfortunately it will be our last. The butter chicken was so different from any other places we have ordered from. It wasn't creamy like the others and was awfully spicy. The naan we got was thick and soggy with minimal flavour and minimal cheese. This made eating the weird hot AF butter chicken even more difficult. We were disappointed and unfortunately it might just be preference, but we have never gotten this kind of butter chicken before on the central coast (we are locals). In our opinion this butter chicken is god awful.. sorry... Normally we would try ordering one last time but definitely not going to again. If you like the smooth creamy sort of butter chicken don't order...
